[DHS] Executive Response to Negotiations Request

Day 2,352, 16:32 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Negotiations are rarely never successfully conducted through the media. They're also not typically done with threats hovering in the air. When past negotiations have been leaked and the character of the individuals involved have been attacked it further impedes potential for future negotiations. Something is missing under these circumstances.

In the past the Executive and the AFA have engaged in dialogue. To be frank the executive representatives came to the table with the goal of convincing the remaining Serbs in the AFA to leave. The AFA came in looking for a path to legitimacy. Those two agendas were very far apart, and neither side achieved their respective goal.

By now most everyone is familiar with what went on in WTP last month just before Congressional elections. Choose to believe what you will about the motivations behind said events. However, the facts remain. The democratically selected slate of Congressional candidates for WTP was hijacked by Serbian players from the AFA. If this had been done by a group of say Mexican players, with no prior association by name or deed with PTO activity it's likely an explanation of this is all a miscommunication would be accepted. As is given the history of deceit that will eternally tarnish the AFA and those willingly associated with that legacy, it simply doesn't pass the smell test.

Some have said the AFA needs to change their name, disperse to the other parties, start an MU that follows eUSA battle orders, etc. Doing these things will eventually bring redemption and trust it's said. However, the Free Area and sadly the Valiant Thor incidents have made acceptance into the eUSA community of those currently constituting the AFA virtually impossible. It was known that Free Area is Serbian, his Party trusted him anyway. Valiant Thor also had dubious beginnings to his eRepublik career, his Party chose to trust him. The trust afforded by their Parties was not rewarded. I am friends with a few former AFA compatriots, and consider myself better for knowing them. So it is not an easy task to inform the Serbians in the aptly named Not a PTO We Promise, trust is not something that will ever be extended to you. In short the official response from the Executive branch of the eUSA government is this:
