This is the general area where I worked Friday. Of course I didn't post a picture of any of the homes of my actual customers. I do mow the cemetery though. It was a nice day. One of those days where I realize what a beautiful place my state is.

The house in the second picture belonged to Vice President Hannibal Hamlin. The lawn I mow is just off the picture to the right.
and then the Langoliers arrived
The church in the first one reminds me a bit of Salem , South Africa. The Urban myth is that the place is cursed. Apparently there was a builder and he had to builds something for the community. Apparently they didnt pay him and so he cursed them and said from that day forward no new roofs would be erected in the place.
I have not heard the full story meaning the afterwards but there is not really any buildings in the town besides the church.
Supposedly Abraham Lincoln made a visit to the church.
It is interesting that some myths seem to have truth behind them. Like Salem, Massachusetts. Maybe it is the name Salem.
nice.

Voted. Your area seems peaceful enough 🙂

3rd from last could be Kerry.
Mount Washington is just behind the tree in the center if you look closely. A little hazy as it was taken with my I Pod. lol Mount Washington is the tallest mountain in the northeast. From the top you can see 7 States and Canada on a clear day. It is tall enough that it has an arctic climate on top. Got snow the other day.
Sure looks like a beautiful place to live.
