WHPR [Day 1,176] - State, Economy, and NASA

Day 1,176, 20:33 Published in USA USA by James S. Brady Press Room

The State Department

The State Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for those unaware of America’s need to be different) has some announcements.

Firstly, they are still looking for people who like foreigners. If you’re Gaius Julius-esque, they would love to have you. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the game or just help the nation. If you’re interested then you should fill out this application. You’ll be processed promptly and given something to do. If not, I’ll spray water on Cerb.

Next, current ambassadors need to be in contact with the State Department. Ambassadors should continue to file their reports here. We appreciate the work you’ve done so far and hope you keep it up.

Lastly, foreign MoFAs or ambassadors should get in contact with our government by filling out this form. It helps keep our government organize and keep itself running smoothly in the day to day operations.

If you’d like more information about the State Department, including a listing of new regional directors, you can read Cerb’s article.

Economy Changes:

There have been some serious economic changes. Thankfully, we’ve got the economic council up and running. They’re actively discussing policies that can benefit business owners and the American economy in general.

The summary of the changes however, is that in order to create a company you need to have “land” to build on. Land can be purchased for 1000 USD (or whatever the local currency may be). This price is not variable and is not set by the American government. The admins in their infinite wisdom have decided upon that price.

Don’t you fret though, thinking you have to spend 20 gold plus 1000 USD to start a company. No, no, no! The price of companies has been reduced to 10 gold and every citizen has been given three free plots of land, regardless of how many companies they already have.

CRoy has written an article detailing the changes.

Speaking of CRoy (a disgusting habit, really):

NASA Relaunches with a Bang

Today, in accordance with the overwhelming will of the American people, and in order to instill fear and confusion in our enemies, the eUS space program has been risen from the dead. This has been an extremely challenging endeavor, but we have reached the heavens before, and we will voyage into the unknown once again.

I'm proud to announce the appointment of a new chief NASA Administrator. Syrup will be taken the helm of this integral national project, and I assure you that he will find the best way to monetize space for the long term benefit of both himself and the eUnited States.

Our first mission: put the first GLaDOS on the moon.

The dawn of the age of discovery has begun.
