I wasn't going to publish this until tomorrow, but I was just overcome with the urge to publish right away. I have a number of articles planned, and would hope fingerguns allows me to make a full case before an official response. Relationships take time, you know?

One of the things I've always loved about eRepublik, really the only thing these days, is the people in it. The community, the rivalry, the politics, all the things that come from a group of people coming together.

Part of any community like that is the creation of icons. People larger than themselves. Giants, as it were.

We've had our fair share of giants here in the USA. Everyone from Nave to Dish to Sam and Benn, scrabman to HR to Emerick and Gaius. Frost, Harlot, Krems, etc. The list goes on.

I think it's fair to include fingerguns on this list, if only for her work in the Feds. Taking a sixth party into the Top 5 during 2009 when she did it was near unthinkable, given how large parties were. Propelling more and more people from her party onto the national stage, giving us some of those same giants I spoke of earlier, not the least of which was Krems, one of the best Presidents and movers and shakers this country has seen.

fingerguns is, in a lot of ways, the mother of giants. The strength of the party she built gave us a number of incredible leaders, but the Federalist Party itself is the greatest thing she’s ever given us. No matter what anyone says, that party didn’t exist until 15 August 2009, the day she took over.

All of these things came directly from the drive and dedication that she made central to her gameplay, and which was inherited by the people who came after her. This dedication has only served to make this country a better place for all of us to play the game.

Really, her Presidency only served to improve her standing slightly. Prior to that, she was still one of the people whose legacy was largest and most significant in our history.

It’s all of these things, more than the politics or how foxy she is, that make me admire and respect her, and what draws me to her.

And, not to talk myself up too much, I think I qualify as one of those giants. Feel free to disagree, I know some will on principle alone. But...too bad, it's my article so I count.

Now, when giants walk, they move the Earth.

No, literally. Have you seen a giant? These guys are the size of buildings, the Earth literally shakes.

For those who don't know, giants do this by creating seismic waves that pass through the planet. When strong enough, those waves can create earthquakes.

Now, a normal giant would probably wake people up when walking through town. Might even rattle some windows...but two giants walking together, in sync? They could cause an earthquake which people wouldn't soon forget.

See? When the waves line up, the resulting impact is much stronger. When they don't, they weaken each other. This is true at both the micro and macro level.

Let's show people what can happen when the last two giants walking around do so together. We can literally change the landscape around us, we just have to hold hands and walk together to do it.
