Trick Or Treat?
Thedillpickl
Hi kids!
Someone went to a helluva lot of trouble to edit that. Pretty damn funny if you ask me. Do you wanna have some fun? Burn a DVD and put it in the bag that your wife takes on road trips. Try to keep a straight face when she pops "Sponge Bob" in the kids player while you roll down the Interstate to Grandma's for Thanksgiving.
Just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
Sorcerer of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
As the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
Poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord yeah!
Enjoy little tykes.
Halloween
Yes it's trick or treat time again. Mixed in with all the cute little smiling faces coming to your door will be the obnoxious, rude one's that spout "I want something different!" or "Gimme more!".
I've kept my mouth shut, settled in and put some damage up for the good ol' USofA.
Not the last of my treats for you my pretties.
A Trick?
Taxes seem to be a hot topic so let's start with them.
I've learned a thing or two about taxes. While situations may be different there are just not many variables in this game anymore. The major difference between Canada and the US tax revenue would be volume. The people you collect that revenue from remain mostly unchanged. One of the few differences would be people who come to the US for resource bonuses.
☞ Work Tax. It's my observation that anything over 10% WT will have a detrimental effect on revenue. On the other hand my personal feeling is that anything less and the guy that spent all his gold on business venture just so he can pile up more fake gold is not contributing. From my perspective I don't feel anyone should be given a pass, everyone should chip in.
☞ Value Added Tax. This is a sure way to run up prices. While all tax is eventually passed on to the consumer, VAT is directly there, in your face at the time production is placed on market. Most sellers do not even give the final cost a thought. I see no real need to hamper the beginner with extra expense when suitable revenue can be taken using the WT. You're just adding tax on top of tax.
☞ Import Tax. I would assume everyone agree's that the US produces enough of everything to go around. There is no compelling reason to import anything. Set the rate to 99% and forget it. If someone's crazy enough to sell their stuff here all the better for us. One caveat would be a trade agreement where we are dumping our overproduction in someone's market that has a deficit. They might feel like we should allow them to play our market.
Finally, a bit of the political.
☞ While I don't plan on being nearly as active as I've been in the past I believe there are good things I can bring to the table. A major item is that people know me on an international level. Most even like me! lol Seriously, there is probably some good I can do as adviser/tinkerer. That of course would be up to the Exec to determine.
☞ I cut my teeth on Congress here. Five times in the hallowed halls and seven times as Whip, not to mention Swiss and Canadian congress. I'd say the old mule still has some kick left in her. The more I read and speak with people the more my opinions grow. I do like to express my opinions.
☞ At a party level I feel I'm the most inept. I was UIP party president years ago but didn't take much away from the experience. I do feel that the party president has a responsibility to field quality Congress and take action when that doesn't happen. I would be interested in supporting any projects or programs that encourage growth and produce good citizens.
That's About It
I'm always looking to do good wherever I go. It would be swell if I find something to do now that I've come home so that I can repay the good beginnings I've had here. Like I said above, I want to be a treat not a trick. I'll always work for what I believe is in the best interest for the majority.
Remember this tip on Saturday:
When you've only got half a bag of candy left and you see this car load of trick o' treaters come around the corner just shut off the porch light.

Glad to have you back in the good ol' eUSA \o
Good article! Definitely helps in gathering knowledge when I decide when to run for congress or country president in the future. Thanks.
Get active in SFP and you'll find an active group of people that are more than happy to have your knowledge of the game involved.
We hold a primary each month for Congress, so all you have to do is state your intent and get votes. I, for one, would love to see you more active - on a party level, Congressional level, and executive level.
Thanks. As a member of WTP I may have to consider SFP if it doesn't work out for me there.
We'd be happy to have you too
Video was great!
Loves me sum Black Sabbath!
