Things New Citizens Should Do Daily

Day 1,071, 01:02 Published in Ireland Ireland by Edana Savage

There have been a lot of changes to eRep in the last few months, but there are a few things that have not changed that New Citizens need to be aware of. These are simple things which should be done daily if at all possible. It will help you get further.

Work

This does several things for a new citizen.

-Increases your cash
-Increases your skill level (This results in better pay)
-Increases your experience points (Helps you level up)
-If you work 30 days in a row you receive a Hard Work Medal which gives you Gold

Working will naturally decrease your health. A new citizen should work for Q1 and Q2 companies to start with until they are better established. Higher Q companies will drain your health faster. The healthier you are the more you produce. The more you produce the happier the employer will be and the more likely you will receive an increase in pay.

Train

The second thing you should do when you sign on is Train. As with working there are benefits to New Citizens. It increases your strength. The stronger you are, the more damage you can do. The more damage you can do, the more fun you will have and the faster you will rank up.

Fight

There is no finer feeing then standing shoulder to shoulder with your comrades and making the enemy bleed. Now the Admins still seem to be tweaking this module, but for a new citizen pay this no mind. Fight whenever you are able. Make sure you friend the IDF or the ICA to keep apprised of battles and changes to orders. Also familiarize yourself with the IRC. This is where the action happens and where supplies are given out.

If there are no battles listed, chances are there are opportunities for deployment. So make sure you check!

Stay Healthy

Make sure you keep your health up! I can't have my younguns all scrawny and weak. The easiest and cheapest way to do this is by eating. There is an eat food/buy food button under your health. Use it.

Another way to increase your health is to purchase a house at first opportunity. A house will help you recover health.

If you get into trouble there are many who are willing to help and I believe there are still government programs in place to help out if your health gets too low.

Low health can affect

-Your ability to produce products for your employer
-Your ability to inflict damage when fighting occurs

The better your health, the more effective and prosperous you will be.

Read

Read the news everyday. Read the forum everyday. Read something everyday!

This will tell you:

-latest things happening in our country
-familiarize you with other players
-introduce you to the past
-educate you on the workings of this game

This is a social media site. We interact by writing and commenting on articles, writing and commenting on Forums, and writing and commenting on shouts. Or fighting. We do that too. 😉 Oh excuse me, we DEBATE.

Chat

Last, but certainly not the least, is chatting on the IRC. This is where the community comes alive. Of course, we do have some characters amoung us. *cough* PP *cough* For the most part, the citizens here have valuable insights and are wonderful people. Even when we don't agree with each other, we still have that sense of community. I encourge you to visit as often as you are able.

This is just a start. There is so much more to this game than what I listed above. I highly recommend finding a mentor and making a pest out of yourself. Most of us are happy to answer questions and are quite accessible. Don't be intimidated! We were once new citizens, too.
