The Unity Party: My Month in Parliament?

Day 2,437, 06:28 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Gigazic

Friends,

You may be skeptical for a number of reasons and I myself am well aware and can understand that. I'm a new player. Very young indeed; and yet I've thrown my hat into the ring and hope to represent the people in Parliament.

It's a big ask of one individual, particularly youth, to step up and take the mantle.

I can only hope to try and convince you, my fellow party members, as to why I should be given a seat in Parliament. I say 'given', although I like to think that any Members of Parliament has truly earned their seat.

What can I hope to achieve in the coming month?

I could probably make endless promises to you, but I won't do that. I'm a realistic person and I don't lie; so I'll tell you what I think I can really achieve.

1) Learn. Sit back and watch experienced MPs do their job. I expect I'll have a lot to learn.

2) Listen. It's all well for me and try to contribute, but I first have to make sure I'm clued up on x subject so I ensure I'm making an informed decision every time.

3) Contribute to discussions. Once I've got the hang of it, of course.

Thank you.

I've presented my case and stated my reasons and now I leave it up to you folks to vote The Unity Party on the 25th.

Cheers. 🙂
