In a family, in a school classroom, in any institution where there is a common goal there are rules. Those rules serve to protect the larger goals from individuals who may have selfish or more short-sighted interests. Sometimes, those rules do indeed make change or revolution more difficult, but generally the best and brightest ideas gain steam and end up being implemented and become successful because of, not in spite of, the rules.

Where there are rules, there must be consequences. Those consequences are always a choice. You don't have to choose the consequences, but if you believe that your personal agenda or idea is worth the consequence, go for it. Maybe you'll become a martyr. Maybe you'll start a revolution. Now you're creating a false dilemma. Maybe you should look into a course on logic? Just because too many rules are bad doesn't mean that some rules can't be good or that rules necessarily lead to more rules. Index's message was a little misinformed as you didn't attempt to run in the primary even though you had the chance and opportunity to do so. I'll repeat myself. You HAD the chance to actually run and attempt to win PP but you didn't even attempt. You had forum access and you definitely could of got another person to nominate you which would have put you on the primary voting list. All in all, it was your choice to do this.

even if you built your own top5 party they will just put in their own PP-candidate at last second and vote him up at the end of the election so he gets the PP-position.

thats the only way to prevent unknown individuals from getting into a position from where they could endanger the security of the state (=start country PTO)

it's because the game has only quite few laws that the people themselves have to create additional rules to prevent sh.t from hitting the fan. not nice from a candidates perspective as it means more obstacles but better than constant threat of PTOs, getting money stolen etc pp

"nice" effect* is that it often looks for newer players (and the all time opposition) with "good ideas**" like everyone with power just want to keep and protect their power position and are afraid so they are raising the hurdles against new stuff and other people...

From what I see from these messages there seems to be nothing they did wrong. Jkeller you had the option to go into the primaries to become PP, you cannot go around randomly running for certain positions or you will be viewed as a PTO threat as you were just recently.

Anywayzez, fuck off site primaries. There may have once been a need, an actual need. But there hasn't been a real need for many eons now. Truly, a primary off site in which less than 50 (usually less than 25) peeps vote is just a way of a few hand picking for the many.

This guy may very well be a legit "PTO". But it doesn't take an off site primary to find a PTOer. We did it for YEARS without the "help" of off site primaries (or we had them but no one paid attention).

A parties security is NOT based on off site primaries. But it's control is. On that point, PTO or not, this guy makes a point made 100+1 times before. And it's valid.

Okay all you bastards. Continue with the labeling bs in the name of unnecessary "security".

hey jkeller, I'll try to explain this to you, and hopefully you'll understand.
eUSA and many other countries are under the threat of PTO(Political take-over), the eRep system allows you to change parties instantly in the game & vote if it's election day. This means that, potentially, many new multiple accounts/ many PTO accounts can enter a party and vote a false candidate in, this means that somone that is possibly against eUSA will be the party president of one of the biggest parties.

To prevent this from happening, there are different elections taking place at the forums that will ONLY include people with access to the forums, once someone within the party wins he gets all the votes on eRep elections. This way, even if a PTO candidate tries to win the elections he won't have enough votes because the votes are focused on one person, the person that won through the PP.

By running WITHOUT running at the forums, you're basically taking away votes from the person that actually won, and thus increasing the risk of a potential PTO.



This is NOT a dictatorship, if you work hard in a party over a long period of time and your work is recognized, you'll be deemed worthy of being party president.

First of all, they check for multis but they don't find everyone.
Secondly, you're assuming that's only a multi problem, there are still a huge number of people voting for someone that is a PTO.

Player 2 recieved 10 votes
Player 3 recieved 9 votes

Player 4 recieved 20 votes, and he wins.

Player 4 was an anti-American PTO player that got his votes from foreign people entering and voting together, multis and new players being lied to and told to vote for him.

If you asked the voters of Players 1~3 who they prefer, they would put player 4 last. So there are 34 players that DON'T want player 4 to win versus 20 players that do want him to win.

This happend because their vote was scattered, and someone unofficial simply got a few votes, player 4 was ANTI American.

Now, to prevent this, the forums have their own elections, in this election, player 1 won most votes(player 4 is not on the forums, he just joined to get false reports). Because player 1 won in the forums, everyone in the elections vote for him, so the final results are as following :

Player 1 - 34 votes.
Player 4- 20 votes.
And this is agreed upon by ALL 34 voters of player 1.

After you read my reply(I wrote another comment), think of 15 different people all running and getting 1~2 votes, the PTO will need a minimal amount to win.

ischelle, thats why there is education, if the top brass know someone is a pto threat then say it before the election not after.

i saw none of the party froum members say publically that i was a pto threat.

but after the election they banned me from the forums.


if i was a true pto threat they would have said that i was before the election and said it publically.

but because they did not, i know they just use calling me a pto as a threat and because i did not listen to their threat they got mad and banned me from the privite froums.

i even asked oblige on the forums about how he was a good canadiate and why i should vote for him, he gave me no response!

You don't always know who the PTO is, and since you've taken many votes you were targetted as a PTO, it happens all the time, more than you'd expect. Infact, most of the time you don't know who's the threat, players change all the time. You don't even know what party will be targeted.

You were banned AFTER running, meaning that this could've all been avoided if you went to the forums and ran, for the same reasons I gave before.

Based on your actions you were doing exactly what a PTO would do, run without being elected by the party members, take away votes.

I do agree that the message sent to you were misinformed and threatning, and I agree that candidates should answer questions and reply, but I DON'T think risking your entire party stubbornly was the right move.

we all knew oblige was going to win 🙂 the other top five wouldn't have let him not win! but well for me to still have gotten 20% of the votes without publishing more than an poorly written article. we are at a sad place the quality of canadiates is low because there is no competition, and because the quality of candiates is low there is a huge pto threat. so if we had free election people would publish articles and say why they would be best and why the other candiates would not be good!

I agree that people should publish articles, but what you said just proves how fragile the voting system is, someone like you with publishing "one poorly written article" got 20% of the votes. Now think about someone that takes his time to write big articles, gain outside support, get multis and sends messages and PMs.
Everyone knew Oblige is going to win BECAUSE he already won at the primaries. Oblige was president multiple times and a congressman multiple times, it's no wonder why he got elected - he's trustworthy.

well first i mis estimated my winning chance i thought less than 10% would vote for me. so i would only have to pay out 10% because there is a 90% cahnce of not winning.

each day i produce about 15 gold worth of goods. so i could supply 15 div 1 players a day no problem, (i would have to stop fighting, and basically sit)

if i ran out of gold and could not get the cash from donations from the gov or players, i would have had to buy some gold. i even submitted a ticket to plato asking if he would allow me to buy gold for 50 different friends, he responded that it could not be done. so i would have had to buy gold then sell it on the monetery market and give players 200 usd a day.


but also with the division change, i am pretty sure i could not have supplied enough. but who knows if only 60 people voted and 1/4 are in division one and only the voters asked for gold i could have easily supplied the party without the need to buy gold. i am pretty sure now maybe more than 25% are division 1

yeah i read his article before, he never says how he is going to accomplish the things he says he is going to get acomplished.
