The Shit Hits the Fan

Some how... Some way, it seems that when there is shit around it always seems to find a fan. In other words, the excrement made physical contact with a electric powered oscillating air current distribution device.

It is an expression that is used primarily to describe a set of circumstances where events became inflamed to a point that control was lost. Such is the situation here in our VERY SMALL country of eSwitzerland. Here in eSwitzerland we argue and fight too much... just like any other eCountry but it becomes so disproportionate because of our small size. We are very few, but we are all friends. Friends with the burdens of real life, ridiculous game mechanics and an overzealous loyalty for our eCountry.



So let's take a moment here to address the strong nature of our friendships and of our individual and often irascible visions for eSwitzerland.

First of all, I want to thank LucasFTM for 3 consecutive mandates as President of our eCountry. I think Lucas did a remarkable job. It was a great deal of work and he remained highly active in-game, on IRC and on the Forum. There was much progress during his terms and we now have all 4 of our regions largely due to his efforts. Personally, I think Lucas did an awesome job... and yes... he is my friend but he is many people's friend. I know him to be a very good person with high integrity and a deep sense of loyalty. I value our friendship greatly.

I want also to thank Lucas for creating and maintaining our Forum and our Organizations. They have been an important part of our recent growth.

Big HUGS to you Lucas! Wherever you may eTravel, please remember that Switzerland is your home.

Next...... lot's of inappropriate things have been said during the last 7 days. I got so disheartened by all of this that I was going to leave eSwitzerland after nearly 5 years here. I was about to move to Macedonia, where I have a great many friends... but alas... they have no congress right now to accept my citizen application.

I want all of these things to be forgiven and forgotten. I am asking you all to do this as a favor to me. I do not want to be put in the position of having to choose between friends... that is just not fair.

So please, in the comments below, please reaffirm our bonds and trust. Make amends if you think that is necessary. We have ALL made mistakes recently. Let's just all shake hands and make up.



Finally... I just want to warn you all that there will undoubtedly be the ubiquitous trolls for this article. I urge all of you not to feed the trolls.
