v5, s93. Could be right, especially as you can't get enough food/Bars to use them.
Bringing out Q7 really did make the economy take a nose dive. Its almost like they hope it would push the economy and went it made it worse they just stood and watched not knowing what the hell to do
On the plus side, everything being really cheap increases the value of medal gold, which helps newer players more than older ones.
I'm starting to think the eRepublik economic team got TO DAMN HIGH while they were designing the economy.
^ This guy! This guy! Am I right?
He thinks there IS an eRep economic team, silly Emergy 😃
eRepublik is the only game you'll find where there's a big emphasis on the virtual economy but they choose not to hire economists. All popular MMORPGs with a complex in-game economy pay pretty good money to renowned economists to plan their virtual economy.
Then you have eRepublik that pays a school drop out with a basic knowledge in PHP £80 a month for the same thing.
The actual underlying problems are a lot more complex. Big swings between the extremes of low & high inflation every few months, no planning on supply:demand, never allowing their to be stability in the economy. Even in a fast-paced game such as this, the economy isn't something you can just play with. Especially when they don't have any designers who understand basic economic forces.
...and now after looking at the markets it appears the game has entered huge rates of deflation since I last looked.
