The KnightHawk do or die phase begins

Day 2,478, 10:44 Published in Australia Australia by AwesomeSal

In the endorsement article written by our party president yesterday he noted some important matters that have given us a wake up call. It's time to reveal what led to this and what impact it will have on the month ahead.

Some of us have been critical of where KHMC is going and in the privacy of discussions Nathan has always encouraged dissenting voices. I have to give him points for that. I can't think of many people who would swallow that and lead on before calling for heads.

I came to activity under Bree's presidency and have learned to live with two very different managerial styles. Bree leaned on the strength network of members, while Nathan has been the shoulder for members to lean on. Each person is different and that's to be expected. You can't really compare one with the other.

What we have seen over the past week is a point being made by a mix of most active members and least active members, each taking their turn to walk when the going got tough. Callum is a friend of ours and there was genuine thought he wanted to get back into the swing. What can I say? We screwed up.

But that's not all that's wrong in our house.

The buck stops with the top and over the last two months KHMC hasn't moved an inch on Congress polls. There's a few reasons for this and not just political, but there is a time to look at what's going right and what isn't.

Not on everything, but Nathan is right that it's time for a reality check. This is an honest assessment of where KHMC is at.

A questionnaire will be sent out to members after the presidential election on a draft list of options. Close friends and allies in other parties will be asked for their thoughts, which includes an option to merge parties or to create a new one, with new elections and a clean slate.

I have given a commitment to Nathan to work with the co-ordinating council and put aside my differences with others for the good of the republic. I am happy to work as Vice President of the KHMC as a replacement for BOUD1CCA who resigned earlier today to become an Independent Congress Member. Linc (TakeYo) will take over my place as Media Spokesperson. He too has committed to wiping the slate to make this work.

At this time I'd like to wish Molly my personal congratulations on securing our endorsement. I join with dedicated members in the KHMC and the ARP who are working for Australia's future.

That's all. Sal
