Greetings eAustralia, today I am writing to you about the upcoming CP elections among other things. Let's get this cracking.
After much electioneering we are down to two candidates for this months CP election. The two being considered are current CP/Dictator Henry the 8th and Brigidd (Ronell), current Minister of Defence.
I'll start off with Henry the 8th.
The good
Henry the 8th has been solid in the position and has benefited from a committed team of individuals. He is experienced, consistent and loyal. All attributes needed to be a good CP.
He has updated his cabinet with some players that have reliability and have performed in the past.
You know what you are getting with Henry.
The bad
Henry is notoriously media shy and seldom does he write articles. He has struggled to find a Minister of Defence for most of the month and has not been able to fully utilise the rest of his cabinet.
Needs to get more out of his Ministers and provide the public with the necessary updates from Government.
And now Brigidd.
The good
Brigidd is experienced and has held the position of CP in other countries as well as positions in cabinet and senate. She is the current Minister of Defence and understands how Australia works.
The bad
Has been directly responsible for another nation occupying eAustralia for a long time. Has worked often against eAustralian interests in the past, especially fighting against the nation.
She is operating her second account in her eRepublik experience. Has only served in Government in eAustralia for only a week overall. Relatively new to the nation. A suspiciously strong affiliation with Black Spectra.
Verdict
Henry the 8th comes out as the best candidate to me, he is consistent and trustworthy and has already identified the problems from his first month.
At this point in time Brigidd just cannot be trusted to run a Government. She has not proven entirely that she can be relied upon to do the right thing due to lack of time she has spent in the country.
Though my verdict to some may seem skewed and expected, I challenge you to disprove any of my assessments of the candidates.
Senate forum
I honestly thought I would have more time than I have and decided to commit my weekend to building a new forum and to produce a constitution for the new Senate.
New position
I have been offered the position of Minister of Education in Henry the 8th's cabinet which I have accepted. The position has generally been where new players wanting to get into politics get there beginnings. It is a position generally seen as beneath a senior player.
But as someone who has basically served as Minister in every portfolio it is only important for me to do a role I am passionate to do.
Henry wrote an article with my name implicated as Minister of Defence and outlined some of my responsibilities. Which I intend to do, but also I will be starting a weekly podcast where we will explain issues and discuss them with guests ranging from Ministers to citizens.
I will be working on that for the next few days, unlike my impromptu radio shows.
I am happy to serve as MoE in Brigidd's cabinet if she were to win. However that would be something that would need to be discussed.

good brief rundown on them both. I am still looking forward to a more detailed election article from Brigidd myself, but hopefully it will come soon.

Brigidd is only guilty of the crime of loyalty. She served eNZ for a long time & was a fierce, hardworking eKiwi worth her weight in gold. She commits 100% to her chosen country and you're very lucky to have her.
Both Henry & Brigidd are awesome players and the only better choice for CP would be their love child. I look forward to that day.

She also willfully lied to our officials at the time. I agree with your point on loyalty to NZ, but her loyalty in Australia is still up in the air.

I will just say she simply played the game and used all weapons at her disposal to protect & advance eNZ.
I can assure you that she will not hesitate to do the same for eAustralia.

I really not understand how we manage the forum problem.
The discussion I opened several days ago in the forum did not produce an effective solution to the (objective) problems found, that could create problems especially in the future, in addition there are limits to add features linked to the game.
Now here is declared the opening of a new forum, next week. But, there are some hidden debate and community approval (at least, from who want to use it) ?
I think you should try to convince the majority of those who use it, before imposing a new solution. Or we may divide once again the community, halving the accesses to the two forums.
In the same discussion, I proposed an alternative, theoretically already usable (actually blocked sign ups, and also I have no problem to remove it completely from the network), which does not have all the limitations described.
Why not debate here?

Just had a good read of it, and I am confused. It makes sense to start again and have it fully backed up.
Who was our MoD past few terms?
This term? Wyvernjack, and he left the game. Then Blackwood, and he quit for some reason (I honestly don't remember why). Then nobody. Then Brigidd.
Last term (Rusty's term) was Brigidd I think. Ancient history now...
Brigidd was one month as MoD and another as dMoD.
