Tell Your TD to Vote Yes.
Anthony Colby
Hello Ireland.
Today in the Private Dail is a vote to allow the freely and fairly elected members of the Irish Dail to restrict or remove the Private Dail access of a TD who has been found to be a threat to the security of Ireland.
Recently an immigrant arrived on our shores from the UK. I won't name names but for the purpose of this article we will call him Maddog J. No that is not good. Howabout we call him M. Jones. Well Mr. M. Jones stated right from the start his intent to run for the Dail and to try to PTO Ireland. Well most longtime players know M. Jones and know that this was very unlikely to succeed. More of a joke really. But that it happened brought up the issue of what to do in the case of a real threat to our security and what process would the Dail use to deny a TD access to information of a secure nature.
Well this proposal was written to answer that problem. It will allow the Dail to hold a hearing to listen to the charges and hold a debate (with the accused being able to defend themselves). Then a vote will be held to see if the access should be denied or removed. Safeguards are in place to prevent abuse. The standard is high to remove access. This should not become a tool of censorship in the hands of a few. There should be no worries.
So I ask all citizens of Ireland to PM your TD and tell them to vote yes to this proposal. Ireland needs to be able to keep our secrets safe.
Remember. Keep Ireland Safe. Tell your TD to vote YES.
Thank you.

Vote Yes.
Maddog Jones, bared from Dáil Éireann.
OJ who didn't follow immigration procedures in January, allowing Maddog's citizenship, not barred?
Vote yes!
Wait why are you discussion private dail business, that is the number 1 rule?
Yes but I divulged no info. Just that a vote was being held. And that it will keep Ireland safer.
I agree with you Marcus about debates about MPPs, IA info and budgets but this is just a method of keeping our secrets safe and with it being an important tool to keep our secrets secret people should tell their TDs to vote yes.
Actually the vote and debate could have been held in the Public Dail. It is just a process the Dail will follow.
Wot Dan said.
Dont feed the faggot troll
With regards to what Dan and Grainne said, if a TD feels an action such as not following procedures is serious enough then this proposal can also be used to remove their access.
Democracy in action, Ladies and Gentlemen!
My voters remain unrepresented in the private Dail. My IRISH voters.
Lol Maddog you where never gonna get access its just the way it works. AC you know you dont say anything about private dail business and here you are posting an article on it this is mental.
I voted No because of this article.
this isn't about whats going on in the Private Dail
its about a change in procedure, and how the Private Dail will operate/restrict access.
The ordinary citizens of the country who elect the TD's have a right to know of these changes, so well done Anthony for keeping us in the loop.
Maddog, you were elected with only your own vote, Irish on paper, Brit in fact, fear the not all real eIrish are represented fairly, even yours. But, a debt of gratitude for getting the ball rolling with this 😛

Vote No.
Everyone is free to vote their conscience. I just feel that if we are going to restrict the access of elected officials, and there are reasons to do this occasionally, then the Irish citizens need to know what we are doing. I don't think that as a free society we should have secret laws within the Private Dail that the citizens of Ireland know nothing about. We need a process to deal with the times that we need to restrict access but it should not be secret. I know I would not be impressed if a person I voted for suddenly was not allowed to not participate with no explanation. I know in this instance we are dealing with Maddog but that may not always be the case. If I angered some people I am sorry. But I feel that this should be in the open and not secret.
