Take a Step Back
Funky 24
While I was away, I noticed some issues with the CPF while reading the media...
- PTOing another party
- PTOing one of Rolo's parties (Really?)
- Letting Jacobi be PP of the party
- Picking ElPato over Foxfire and failing to reward CW for their loyalty
- Not condemning Elame-o's betrayal of the CPF
- Once again our Congress members follow the yellow fat man like he's our pied piper
- Losing Plugson for some reason?
I mean, it's not like I'm just being judgemental? That's not me in the slightest. I'm just wondering if you're all trying to prod me to get back in the game on purpose.
But now I'm back and there's no way this world I'm taking another (splendid by the way) vacation from eRep for, um...

The voters chose ElPato over Foxfire in our primary, and Plugson, still not sure what Plugson is doing. Other than that, your points are valid
All of them are valid.
Auk Rest, shame on you for attempting to justify CPF's actions. Funky raises valid points that need to be owned by the leadership of the time, which by the way was you. He's not commenting on the fact that EPD was elected, but that EPD was elected and then CPF disrepected CW.
As for Plugson, the fact that you don't know means that you haven't asked him. Despicable.
~hyuu~
Funky has returned! \o/
We didn't disrespect Clan Wolf, Wally, no such deal was ever in place where they would support our CP candidate and that we would reciprocate next month. Blame the voters, not me.
Auk, you act like you had no control or influence over the membership.
I can't control how people vote, and I released an article after the results had broken decisively for ElPatoDiablo announcing efforts to reform the primary system so we wouldn't have that sort of blowout again. Up until a few days before the election I still had no feel for whether Mochan Drust and Clan Wolf were going to nominate Foxfire or ElPato, I had no straight answer from anyone. You cannot blame me for the democratic process that nominated ElPatoDiablo, I endorsed neither for CP.
Taking a needed break from politics. I did explain it to a couple members who asked. Here is a snippet from my message to Funky:
"I realized that my decision making process seemed to be clouded and I was making mistakes. This lead me to want to take a step back from the political scene to evaluate where I got things wrong. To be honest, it has been refreshing and I have come up with a few realizations that I hope to bring back to the game in the New Year"
Bascially, I goofed and was complicit in letting eCanada get wiped, lose Congress, lose all MPPs, and stir up a fading source of trouble when I should have been there to mitigate some of those problems. So for that reason, I put myself in the penalty box."
Auk, have I mentioned how much I hate "primaries"? All you needed to do if you were unsure was PM him...
Mochan hardly spoke to me at all while he was PP and took a two clicking break in his term, the best I got was Oinyo who couldn't tell me which way Clan Wolf was swinging until it was already decided the CPF would endorse ElPato
I think there is serious benefit in a cooling off period...let MDP and CW lead the way for a bit, regroup, brainstorm a coordinated approach, and take 2013 by storm. It's only worth going over what went wrong if there's a way to do it better the next time around. MDP did an overhaul so CPF could use the same. Keep up with dem Joneses.
The CPF did not PTO anyone. Jacobi is a big boy and did that all on his own. It was never even discussed until he announced he was running at which point he was no longer in our party and none of our business.
I complained about the whole nomination voting process and it will change next time to the way we use to do it back in the day. However Foxfire was on the ballet and lost.
EDP. There was no point burning our entire house down over what one individual actions which we have no control.
I agree with Plugson, we need to reinvent ourselves, but this is not a task for me. Is the stage set for your triumphant return, Funky?
Why should I return? None of you are taking responsibility, and its hilarious watching you being led along by outsiders.
I think that the over-reliance on defeating the Coalition muddled everyone's thinking. It was the sacred cow and easy sell. Us vs. then wins elections. I think you are being a little dramatic Funky. The sky has not fallen. The CPF is still the number one party in the country, the CP is still a CPF member and, if the CPF plays it smart these trends will continue. The easy thing to do is throw EDP under the bus. Hell, it's kinda the thing to do right now...
... as for personal responsibility. I'll own up to mine. I sold out CW in order to get EPD elected. I thought he was the right candidate and my loyalty to him lead me to step on some toes, harm friendships and be a dick at times. In the heat of the moment I believed I was on the side good. I drank my own Kool Aide. I can't speak for Auk or Plugson, they may or may not feel like they have made errors of judgement. Personally, I have moved on.

You cannot change the past, you can only learn from it and use that information in the future. Gains nothing to cry and scream over other people's actions which you have no control over.
^What he said.^
The past exists only in the context of the present. I can't act in the future. If I can't get control over these problems then the mistakes of the past live on to now. I might be able to fix it, but I need people are willing to accept my critiques to do so.
aww crap. he's back.
Grumpy Funky is Back
Can anyone ever do anything acceptable in your opinion Grumpy Funky?
all u ever do is criticize, and rarely if ever bring forward plans of your own.
You were a good PP when CPF was a small party who's job it was to point out the mistakes of the leading party of the time. That part of CPF's history is over now.
But u still want to be a Critic.....
You should try it.
Critics are needed to be the prick to tell us that something is wrong. We can't fix anything if we don't know what's wrong. Critics point out what's wrong. They have an important role in the scheme of improvements.
Funky, if you only you were here a month ago the eworld would have been so much better today
funky's job:
1- be the funky critic that we need to listen to
2- say "indeed" every now and then
nuff said.
I knew Funky would return to liberate his baby.
Hello all and sorry for the late reply.
Do not blame Auk Rest or the CPF for the whole EPD got in over Foxfire.
In Clan Wolf at the time we were having serious internal struggles with a prior PP actively campaigning in the feed for us to not run Foxfire and to instead run purely for EPD.
It took us until very late in the election game to get everything in perspective and up until then we were really shaken up.
The past is the past however and we have completely reshaped CW since then
Foxfire is and probably will always be our best candidate to offer as CP.
He will have have chance after chance until he is finally voted in and is able to show you exactly what he can do 🙂
Please do not however blame Auk Rest or the CPF though for what happened to CW. It was not them and Auk Rest has never been anything but a supportive Allie to us. All the mess was done by a single members pushing his own agenda for no fault of his own. He was a CPF in soul but didnt know it just yet 😉
"All the mess was done by a single members pushing his own agenda for no fault of his own. He was a CPF in soul but didnt know it just yet"
I assume that load of grammatically incorrect, passive-aggressive shite was directed at me... ??? I am in no mood for pissing matches, so I'll let it fly, for now. But you are on notice oinyo...
How is that Passive? Your own words above stated it perfectly. You sold us out and tried to bully everyone into voting for EPD and actively campaigned in our feed for him. You talked down and belittled our party saying if we ran someone it was a waste and that we were hurting ECanada..
You said it yourself above.
"... as for personal responsibility. I'll own up to mine. I sold out CW in order to get EPD elected."
No need for a pissing match as I dont play those games.
What I said was not offensive. I stated your loyalties obviously changed but you stayed in CW. What happened happened and what I see in this thread is people blaming Auk rest for what happened to CW.
It has nothing to do with Auk Rest and I am defending him. I dont know what happened to change your loyalties so utterly and completely during your term in office and the one after but it changed you.
Notice or not. These are all facts and history.
Sorry if this offended you so much

"The day Foxfire becomes CP is the day eCanada dies."
An ancient Maya text has emerged from the jungles of Guatemala confirming the so-called "end day of the world" The Maya calendar tells, Dec. 21, 2012.
eCanada? Or the entire planet?
oh wow, the penalty box is becoming awfully crowded...or at least it should be.
Anyone involved in October's Exec administration that was related to eCan losing Congress and its MPP stack at the same time (followed by a delayed re-stacking of MPPs) should seriously not be taking any leadership roles until they have, indeed, taken a step back and re-examined the situation. That goes for 3 of the current proposed CP candidates.
@Plugson: Instead of proposing Ireland as a NE to complete the mission, I already contacted the Polish CP of the possibility of having Poland as an NE as a training war.
And the answer was "No."
And Jacobi was focusing on the CoT follow-up post-wipe.
And EPD was still deciding which way to go.
And players had to spend a bunch of cash moving around to complete semi-available Daily Orders.
All in all, the most basic need of the players was not met: MPP fights for the DO. And for that, the Exec should step back and make sure this is a lesson to be learned from.
You won't be getting the chance Mary.
