Sweden and Atlantis

ATLANTIS
Or, the Atlantic Treaty of Latin, American, and Nordic Territories for International Security. Atlantis, is an alliance that was put in place “for International Security”. You have probably been hearing a lot about Atlantis and PEACE recently. If you wondering why they are opposed, they were practically at war with each other at one time, and things have been a bit sour since then. Currently, there are 14 members of Atlantis. These include;
• Canada
• Croatia
• Finland
• Norway
• Poland
• Romania
• Spain
• Sweden
• United Kingdom
• United States of America.
These countries are active members. This means they get a full vote on everything and have to offer each other full military support if Atlantis asks for it. There are another 4 members;
• Greece
• Israel
• Germany
• Bosnia and Herzegovina
They are Passive members, meaning they don’t get a full vote, but also don’t have to give full military support in times of conflict.
Sweden
Recently, Sweden declared war on Germany. These plan’s where in the manifesto of the CP and possibly the reason he is elected. Why someone would put something so absurd into a manifesto I do not know. However, he was voted into presidency with around 60% backing, so we can assume a majority are interested in saying goodbye to Germany. I have read the most recent article of the CP’s newspaper, appropriately named “The Schizo’s thoughts”

When translated, the second paragraph says:
“The first phase is to get the vote whether Germany should be allowed to stay in Atlantis or not. Currently, Sweden has much support in Atlantis, and they will most probably not get to stay in Atlantis. Voting takes place tomorrow, 8 / 5.
Once it is implemented and Germany but alliance can and Sweden will storm the German's to avenge their malicious acts against Sweden, to give us Swedes a purpose again, for bringing the country from its lethargy, to show the world our enormous battle capacity !”
It goes on to say about how quickly they want their plans to happen.
But why is Atlantis supporting them?
The Swede’s are threatening to leave if Atlantis does not vote out Germany. If this happens it is likely countries such as Poland and Romania may leave, as they are good friends of the Swede's. Sweden has single handedly created a rift through Atlantis. I can only imagine what PEACE officials are saying right now. All because the sour Swede’s are getting greedy. It is obvious to me that since Germany was liberated from Sweden, Sweden have been wanting revenge. This, is not the way to gain back their Pride. Forcing people to choose between them and a weaker, Passive member nation. The option for Atlantis nations is obvious. They have to vote for Sweden. This is a colossal shame, because the e-Germans are really great people, and shouldn’t have to be put through this simply out of Swedish resentment. If Atlantis officials do vote for Germany to stay in and Sweden leave then Atlantis could split, and the nations that left may become sympathetic to PEACE.
In my opinion, Sweden is in the wrong here, and because of there actions they are effectively blackmailing Atlantis countries who support Germany into not voting to keep Germany in. This doesn’t mean however that Sweden has no support, as it may have already gotten the support of some Atlantis countries, but threatening to leave effectively forces people to do what they say. It is not the behaviour I have come to expect from a civilised nation.
This is also a negative gesture towards any of our Passive members. If any Active member wants a passive nation out of the alliance (which they shouldn't even have a reason to) then the Active member can simply threaten to leave, in order to get there way.
Atlantis is an Alliance. Sweden should treat it's Allies with respect. Not blackmail them.

It's a tricky situation. eSweden's actions are by no mean right and they should be judged. I've understood that the voting about giving eGermany a full membership will be voted soon enough, but Sweden already has a great support (votes that they ganed by this so called "blackmailing").
Many Atlantis nation opposed the idea, some more and some less, but eSweden got it's way because they wouldn't change their minds. If eSweden attacks you can probably find me fighting for eGermany.

What the hell did the German's do wrong to them? I can safely tell you this, if war comes you'll see me siding with the German's. Sweden better grow the hell up because this is crazy. There going to jeopardize the safety of all ATLANTIS nations, for what? To prove a point?
If the worst does come and PEACE take us over then we have only Sweden to blame.

I might be relitivly new, but it seems to me that if Sweden can use this kind of blackmail now with such effect, what will happen later when we dont have so many options. Lets say there was full open war with the PEACE countries. We would have to maximize our fighting potential, not do whats moraly right.
This problem should be dealt with now, and I will be fighting for Germany.
In the end, if Sweden attacks Germany, I hope most Atlantis members do what's right and help Germany.

Not Quite the whole story but I can see why it looks like this.
It's better to maintain the integrity of the alliance than fight within it. Let Sweden leave; such attitudes should have no place in ATLANTIS. We must set a precedent that such cowardly acts of bribery won't be tolerated and won't fulfill agendas of despots.
it is very easy for individual members in Atlantis nations to ''covertly'' fight for Germany.
We can vote for Sweden, but fight for who we want.
I agree with colt. But no matter what happens I shall fight for Germany! They might be weak but Sweden is about to tear atlantis apart. eUK this is a plea that you do the right thing morally not tactically!!! ally now with eGermany!!

Can the eUK not abstain from the vote in protest to eSweden's blackmail?
It reminds me of Goku. He didn't get his way with the HoL, so he went into a hissy fit and decided to vote no to everything or something like that.
Now Sweden are doing the same. Vote no to Germany or they leave. I say we let them leave. xD

What "BLACKMAIL" are you talking about? Sweden is claiming its just profit for being the second best supporting country to the ATLANTIS alliance in recent big fights.
You say it is blackmail when we say that either Sweden or Germany leaves Atlantis? It is more of a dilemma, and Sweden has contributed so much to the alliance so is it a hard choice?
And what has the UK done so far? They have said they have negotiated between Germany and Sweden (o'rly?), and then 1-2 of your ex prime-ministers post in an article in our country saying how we suck etc... Very mature way of negotiating!

He sure represents the opinion of alot of us here though.
It is often hard to get the full side of both parties, but from where I sit, Sweden definately look bad here, and their actions seem to be ripping Atlantis apart.
