Day 2,373, 06:09 Published in South Africa South Africa by Wilpanzer

Hello everyone
I recently discovered that I missed my 3rd e-birthday. I believe that one must reassess one’s goals in a game like eRepublik. eRepublik is possibly one of the most complex MMOs that exist, and the fact that players greatly influence the forming of communities and the waging of wars and politics proves just that. However, this game has unfortunately fallen victim to a great deal of elitism and cheating through its “pay to win” principles.

eRepublik has embittered many of my e-friends, and myself. We've walked a long path of unnecessary hardship and Lazocracy may very well be the nail in the coffin. Our greedy adversary, Argentina, will be there to oppress us even if we manage to become sovereign again.

Where to then? There are talks of emigrating, staying and surrendering. It is easier said than done though. A new challenge arises with each choice. We’ll have to leave the past behind and unite like we’ve never united before. If we stay, we’ll have to convince people to stay and to integrate into our community. If we emigrate, we’ll have to conform to new standards and e-cultures. If we surrender…we’ll be mere servants of an army of cheaters.

Here I've mentioned three choices, but we need more than choice. We need a vision. We need an adventure. I’d like to say that we mustn't continue saying “if”, but that we’ll have the certainty to say “when”. In our current circumstances, we’re useless. There are good communities in the e-world that may accommodate us. If we stay, we’ll have to see our struggle in a new light. There is no more use for a 2-clicker. They never fight when we need them to fight and they rarely vote on weekends. We’ll have to think more radically if we want to represent anything close to a resistance movement.

Let’s start thinking of a destination, because our time is running out.
