Say NO to the IRA
Anthony Colby
Fellow eIrishmen and women.
You may have recently seen a newspaper article written by Maddog Jones proclaiming the creation of the IRA. This IRA as he calls it is the Irish Reunification Association an organization and future political party that has as its' goal the conquest of eIreland by the eUK. That is the "reunification" that he is talking about. The total occupation of our sovereign nation by our old enemy to the east. You can read his article and see the danger for yourself here.
Don't listen to him. For those who don't know him Maddog is a notorious troll of the Irish press. For the most part his comments and actions were pretty much ignored by the majority of Irish citizens and many got quite a laugh out of him.
Things have changed.
A lapse in security allowed Maddog to gain Irish citizenship and the nature of Dail elections in Ireland allowed him to gain a seat with one vote. That is where the trouble started. As an illegal citizen Maddog was not allowed access to the Private Dail where secure information is discussed. His in game proposals were voted down as a matter of proceedure. The problem is that through game mechanics he was allowed to give one citizenship pass since the game does not recognize his being in Ireland illegally.
He gave his friend Joachim von Bremen that citizenship and now he is running for a seat in the Dail. See where I am going with this? If Joachim von Bremen gets elected then he also will get to hand out citizenship with no regard to Irish Immigration policy. Over time they could eventually gain control of enough votes to pass legislation. They could destroy the economy with tax policy sabotage or even transfer money out of the treasury into their own accounts. For those who don't know this this is what is known as a PTO or a Political Take Over. This tactic is allowed by game mechanics. Perfectly legal. We can't allow this to happen.
So with Maddogs' announcement of the creation of the "IRA" which is the basis for a future political party and the thinly veiled attack on Irish sovereignty I urge you not to vote for Joachim von Bremen today. Do not join the "IRA".
I usually do not tell people how to vote. I feel everyone is free to think for themselves and vote however they feel is best. But in this instance when the future of Ireland is at stake I will break with my philosophy.
Don't vote for Joachim von Bremen for Dail
Don't join Maddogs' so called "IRA"
The safety of Ireland is at stake.
Please vote this article up. As many Irish citizens as possible need to read this. Give it a shout also.
Thank You.
Anthony Colby.

Ah I wouldn't be so worried. They aren't too intelligent and couldn't pull off something too bad....
Still, though I'm worried that republican newbies might inadvertently join the IRA, fooled by the name.
That was one of the reasons John. New players might not know his history. While the real danger is way down the road if they keep up this pace it is also easier to stop them now.
Oh look, a politician trying to slander another politician on election day?
How surprising.
Vote JvB.
Lapse in security AC ? there was no lapse , it was done with full knowledge of the consequences

I didn't want to bring up old arguments Cas.
Oh and Maddog.
Slander: Saying of something false and damaging.
It is not false. You are an illegal and let in someone illegally. So my statement is the truth so it is not slander.
@IB1967
I really wonder 'mud throwing' part.
no comment
@ Luminara
And do you "wonder supporting British PTOer part" ?
Wait...how did they get citizenship in the first place? Oh..right..
Unlike some parties where people feel to defend their own members even though they know he/she did a mistake just for the sake of friendship/ comradeship/ solidarity/ o7 etc,
Costume Party is for independent candidates, no member of party has to share any idea and they may be of different political extremes. I am not member of Costume Party but
I think it is rude to say 'supporting British PTOer' while calling mention of very reason of their presence as 'mud throwing'.
Yeah I let him in, well done.
@ Lum: I think it is rude to say 'supporting British PTOer'
No, it's the truth, yet you feel the need to "defend" that decision. And don't try to say the Costume PARTY are independent. They are a party. Simple as that.
@IB1967
Costume Party is a party because there is no way to run independent.
Yet the "Independents" in the party refuse to condemn their PARTY President for supporting a British PTOer for Congress. Their just as bad as any other other party, but worse because they claim to be "independents". Hypocritical.
@IB1967
Who said they don't? Or said they did? We don't know.

"A lapse in security allowed Maddog to gain Irish citizenship . . . "
Lapse in security -- What a nice name for treason.
And as for the Costume Party supporting Joachim -- Please tell me how I could have kept him out had I even wanted to.
We accept everyone in the Costume Party. Of, course, we have to, but still, it has such a nice egalitarian ring to it, does it not?
And if you are running for office in the Costume Party, you get the same support everyone else does. Do you see anything in the write up about him that went beyond a simple statement of fact?
@OJ: just one question, why did you let him in? This isn't a bash or anything, I am just seriously wondering.
Yes! It's true! We all swore together to refuse to condemn Gonzo. Then we sacrificed an orange. I saw Goody Castaneda with the Devil! I saw Goody Gormley with the Devil! I saw Goody Colby with the Devil!
Would be real nice if Mike could get an answer there, wouldn't it?
The rest is consequential...
old trick, stealing an RL Irish recognized denomination to gain extra support from their rivals...
Lots of comments, that is good. I see I succeeded in reviving the whole who let Maddog in and why debate. I didn't mean to. It was necessary to say something to new players but I tried to leave the past in the past. The current issue is JvB and getting enough votes to get elected. That is what is important. He can only cause trouble if he gets elected.
@James Keiller. Susanna Martin, one of the "witches" hanged in Salem is my 14 times great grandmother.
Good article, fair play to the folks in the Costume party supporting a person who wants to ruin Ireland. I honestly dont know how you do it, everyone is allowed to run but you dont support them because they want to destroy Ireland.
@Mike Everyone knows who did stop asking old questions why the hell is he being offically supported by TCP?
@Mirek, PP doesn't want to destroy Ireland and he's not an illegal Brit.
OJ let him in cos he is a fkn idiot.
Gonzo is now surpassing this idiocy, yet none of the "independents" will speak up about what is right, preferring to say nothing, which makes them guilty by association, now where have we seen that before in e-Ireland?
@mirek
PP is an e-Irishman longer than just about all of us here, certainly longer than you.
@JamesK
Can I have some of those drugs your on plox?
Bahahaha
guys,I haven't said PP isn't eIrish lol
IBhoy, drugged as I am, I know that guilt by association is a fallacy, but thanks for pointing out the flaw in your own argument.
And where did we see it before in e-Ireland? Well the tarring of OJ and the ICA with the same brush in the aftermath of his impeachment would be one, maybe?
@Marcus: We know who did it but the question is WHY. The proposed answer by irishbhoy1967 is that he is a "fkn idiot", but I want a real answer and not an opinion.
Seriously.
V+S, really good article.
@Mike
OJ is a good friend of mine, so when I say he's an idiot it isn't an opinion, k? I also know he has worked his ass off day in day out for the country only to be treated completely unfairly. So any of his actions, including the maddog thing, were reactionary ones to that unfair treatment. So there is your answer, nothing more nothing less than that. I suggest you start asking questions about why an Irish party is officially supporting an illegal candidate and give up with the "Few Good Men" style "I want the truth" charade.
@JamesK
I intentionally included that flaw.
However I am going to ask you straight out-
Do you support your Party President's(who you elected) decision to give official party backing to a British PTOer? Do you intend to ask your party president to withdraw that support?
There is no official party backing for JvB and therefore nothing for Gonzo to withdraw. PP's of Independent Parties are a law unto themselves anyway. Isn't that right IBhoy?
There is official party backing in Black and White in the party announcement for official candidatures. Your party IS officially backing a candidate who would like to see Ireland under British rule.
Also, I would say you're referring to my PTO of IV awhile back. If your not careful you will have your new "Independent" Party PTOed also, and not by me. If it happens you will have no-one to blame but yourself. Maddog and JvB would have every right to take advantage of the stupidity in your party, and if they do then who knows, maybe I'll help them as you're quite clearly asking for it.
Voted, good article.
If The Costume Party is PTO'ed so be it. It's not hard to PTO a small Party if you have the numbers, and I doubt that "good behaviour" on the part of the membership would count for anything.
I must admit, I'm intrigued to think that you would entertain the notion of assisting JvB and Maddog in the PTO of an eIrish Political Party - it kind of puts the tin hat on your objections to Gonzo's rather neutral article.
I see an excellent point raised. Why on earth are these guys being supported? A party president has the ability to choose candidates right? When you see those two idiots' names, you shut 'em down. Simple as that. They /could/ do damage but they're being given the ability to do so! This saddens me. 8( But really, TCP, I am disappoint.
Jiosen, a Party President can only block a candidate if they have enough alternative candidates on the ticket, I think 6. There's no way a small Party can come up with that many.
At the time of writing, JvB has 3 votes. I think it's safe to assume that's, himself, Maddog and CT - who shouted out this evening that he voted for JvB (Marcus thought this was great gas altogether). No TCP required.
Let's be under no illusion what all this fuss is about, it's a stick to beat Gonzo with because he rubs certain people up the wrong way.
I've encountered more than my fair share of those sticks before, Gonzo himself by times being the wielder.
My mentioning I would assist it was merely to highlight the stupidity of this and to give him a mirror to look into. Gonzo in his article included him as an official candidate and that ofc was intended to "rub" people up the wrong way with little concern for anything else but that. Gonzo has rarely ever written a neutral article, certainly not that I can remember. So yes, let's quit with the illusions please.
@James - Try asking someone before you shite on, I taught he was joking. I bloody hope TCP does get pto'ed since you dont bother your hole to come ask me if I was joking or serious.
And in this case it would have been 9 candidates required for the PP to have the power to block. That isn't the issue.
I'm pretty new and I'm not fooled by the name at all. I know where I stand here - against the UK.
IBhoy, you're right, blocking is not the issue, I was responding to Jiosen's point about PPs having the ability to select candidates.
Marcus, I never said you were serious. And maybe CT really was joking. My point is that it's not unquestionably Gonzo's doing that JvB had 3 votes.
Peter, good for you. People who can think for themselves are our best asset.
"People who can think for themselves are our best asset."
Yes, they are.
Those with a sound memory are even more important.
What a load of hogwash in the comments here. Jeeezus.
Pots/kettles etc....
Who gives a flying **** at this stage what happens? Hardly any great brains in operation behind it all. Plenty of candidates for a bit of RL fresh air and a leg-stretch though.
Plenty.
I didn't vote for JvB, I forgot to vote.
