Resistance Wars Erupt Across Poland as Rhone Alps is Attacked, Days 1096-1097

Day 1,097, 07:17 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

eSpain is on the attack and poised to overrun a key eFrench region as Day 1097 unfolds. Meanwhile across ePoland's occupations, resistance wars (RW) flare and challenge the conquests of EDEN's largest power.

Spain Attacks Rhone Alps
While there has been minimal eFrench resistance to EDEN’s advance, it has largely been for naught as both ePoland and eSpain have carved portions of France’s territory for themselves since the counterattack began. ePoland invaded Alsace at 10:17 on Day 1095 and quickly overran the region. While ePoland moved one step closer to Rhone Alps with the victory, it was the eSpanish who delivered the attack on the high stone fortress region, attacked Rhone Alps on Day 1096 at 12:09. The eSpanish won each of the first three phases of battle and never looked back, overrunning the region once more; while eSpain briefly held Rhone Alps months ago, the eSpanish and ePolish often swapped control of French and German regions during their previous conquest. We may see more of this in the coming days and weeks, if ePoland indeed intends to take control of Rhone Alps’ stone supply.

Poland’s Russian Territories Under Fire
The eRussian Resistance Forces launched a widespread resistance war campaign throughout Days 1096-1097, first successfully targeting and conquering Volga Vyatka, and then moving on the traditional eRussian capital of Kaliningrad and the Leningrad Oblast shortly after Volga Vyatka fell. Even with orders calling for Kaliningrad’s defense, ePoland is trailing in defense of this crucial region; the ePoles are successfully defending Leningrad Oblast and Northern Russia, which was opened early in Day 1097, but losing control of eRussia’s capital could be a significant propaganda loss.

eGermany is reemerging after winning three RWs from eItaly,
but those against ePoland are less likely to succeed

German Resistance Opens Against Poland, Italy
Three RWs erupted against eItaly’s occupied German regions at against Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg, and Saxony in Day 1096. By the 07:00 hour of Day 1097, all three closed in favor of eGermany and give the eGermans a chance to survive through Congressional elections on Day 1101. However, ePoland now borders all the regions and may choose to attack eGermany’s newly regained territories at any time. In the meantime, eGermany is beginning to slowly reemerge beneath the near monthlong EDEN occupation.

The bolder eGerman attempts consisted of the four RW front opened in the early hours of Day 1097 against ePoland. North-Rhine Westphalia, Rhineland Palatinate, the capital Saarland, and Saxony-Anhalt all exploded in conflict; however, ePoland has easily defended all the contested regions thus far, which also includes an eFrench resistance effort in Alsace, an eFrench region bordering Germany which represents ePoland’s current furthest line of advance into France.

The eUK has reversed eIreland’s advance and put much of the
smaller island under fire despite an attempted eIrish counterattack

UK Delivers Counterattack Against Ireland
eUK conquered both Shannon and Cork and Kerry on Day 1095, inviting eIrish counterattacks on Day 1096 on the former at 14:49, and the latter at 14:51. The eUK, meanwhile, attacked Northeast of Ireland (not to be confused with Northern Ireland) at 14:50, and struck Southeast Ireland two minutes later. The net result is that the eUK-eIrish skirmish has crossed the Irish Sea and left Great Britain for the time being. As the eUK currently controls the tempo in nearly every front, it could be a matter of time until eIreland may face its final regions coming under fire.

The Look Ahead
Resistance wars may be the best way to remove the EDEN states in Germany, although ePoland’s performance indicates that it may be ineffective against the larger powers; however, there is some hope for the tactic as it is enjoying success against ePoland in Russia. Today’s actions also show that eFrance is in trouble, with both of its main high stone regions falling and no sign of fatigue from eSpain. We may also see the eUK attempt to take all of eIreland, although it is unclear what kind of support eIreland may be able to receive. Time will tell.
