Lately in Ireland there has been a lot of name calling, accusations, and fighting. Not that this is unusual for Ireland but this has reached a level not seen for some time. I will NOT name names. This article is not to lay blame for any actions that anyone has taken.
Let's not forget. There is a serious issue at hand. The issue of British PTOers. They are here. In small numbers to be sure, large numbers if you believe them and I don't. They are a threat to our safety and security. They will harm us if we let them. If you read an article by Maddog Jones or Joachim von Bremen remember they are out to get us. Their talk of being Irish is just a trick to make the uninformed believe their lies. They must be stopped.
These people and their friends our our enemies. They want to see Ireland occupied by the UK. Sadly for us we are giving them what they want. A divided Ireland, a divided Dail and a bleeding off of our talent will only weaken us and strengthen them. Do you want them to win? I for one do NOT.
I can understand the anger that is felt by members of our society. I feel it also. How can one not feel it. Some of us are disgusted as to what is happening. Good people leaving because they are being attacked by someone who believes something different. People not following the laws of Ireland or policies set forth by the Dail. For too long the anger and petty insults and arguing has derailed important topics and discussion in the Dail. Some supposedly loyal citizens have even leaked secure government info to the enemy. How can that be? How can that be helpful? I have read posts by people ( more than one ) I respected and admired say they wish and that Ireland deserves to be wiped. Well I disagree. How can anyone who says they love this country and has worked hard to build and protect it say that? I just don't know.
I for one am frustrated. Many of us are. But I will not give up and I will not leave. I am staying here and will do what it takes to save this nation from the PTO group and if proven from the enemies within. We have laws that need to be followed. I truly believe the process needs to be followed so that everyone has a fair chance to defend themselves. But if they can not defend themselves then they need to denied the ability to harm Ireland. The current restriction of the Private Dail is one of these attempts to secure Ireland. I fully support this measure. I will be running for the Dail again after not getting elected last term. I will work and listen to everyone who has an idea or has the willingness to protect Ireland.
I will not back down and will not quit.

An opponent yes. But not a political one. Technically by eRepublik law you are recognized as an Irish citizen. Technically.
But you were granted citizenship illegally. You are in the eyes of the Irish government an illegal immigrant and by your actions a security threat and an enemy of the state.
I have not responded to any of the posts by you and your friends as to not "feed the trolls" as they say. Since you responded to my article I will respond and no doubt you will not be able to keep quiet so my article will get that much more activity. For once you will serve a positive purpose in Ireland. LOL

Good point haughenator. But once you state you are going to occupy or destroy my country then you no longer are a troll, you are an enemy of the state. Your normal troll articles I try to ignore. This is no longer trolling but the premise still holds. Don't give them the attention they want and need.
The main point of the article is not about trolls anyway but the damage they have caused. We are the ones responsible for the safety of Ireland, not you and your friends. We will be unified in our defense of our Ireland and will not go down without a fight.

Actually it is not. I have loads of experience about struggling against PTOers, beleive me. It's not. They are fully aware that no loyal Irish citizens believe them. It's a ditraction. Trolling back may seem just and adequate, but do not let them distract you into that direction. The key is organization. Consider every PTOer elected to the congress two more votes on the next election. When being exposed to a PTO threat the key is to get united and minimize their chances of grabbing seats. Organize a force to push for candidates with less votes to avoid them being elected. Use the most organized force at han😛 the army. In case they threaten with grabbing the presidency, have primaries on the forum and have a joint candidate. Think about alternative ways of preserving plurality _within_ a government of national unity. Their take-over attempts - if supported from outside - are viral and exponential. Step now. This is exactly the situation when preserving the democracy within the community calls for extraordinary measures that may seem 'antidemocratic' in normal times. Do not hesitate to use them, do not fall in the trap, this is the only way to preserve the possibility of pluralism and democracy. Beware of the threat!

Not at all. Democracy should not be repealed. Democracy can be maintained while keeping you out. And once people understand that you'll be beaten. There are certain features of the game you exploit. Once people undertand that democracy is not made by the game features but the shared interest of the community - within what pluralism and democratic process could be maintained - you're fucked. You won't get seat, you won't get citinzenship slots - as long as you and your quislings are kept away from seats you are paralized.
Democracy will never be repealed. Steps have been taken to ensure security but the democratic process remains and always will. We argue so much here since we allow all opinions and some of them make people angry. That is the price you pay for Democracy. Well a Republic actually since we don't really have ( no one does ) a Democracy. Name of the game is eRepublik after all.
Btw, you're pretty lame PTOers. You have disclosed your true intentions far too early, urged by the want to proclaim how awesome you believe you were. You have also underestimated the strength of the Irish community. Their reaction came early enough.

Sadly, eIreland is no longer a democracy. It has degenerated into an autocracy, an oligarchy ruled by select and privileged members of the Irish Army.
There is no longer equality for all people under the law. There are different rules for different castes of people. If you are one of the privileged, you can break the law with impunity. If not, out comes the rope, 'cause there's gonna to be a lynching.
Indeed, there is no longer any respect for the law, either. Persons are arbitrarily banned from the country forum by forum admin or the more insidious Committee for State security without the benefit of a hearing and a trail. There is a legislated procedure for removing an elected TDs Dail access, but the only person who has attemptd to follow it has been me.
In short, it is exactly what you would expect to get from a bunch of fourteen-year-olds trying to show off their big boy pants.
Anthony Colby is one of the few reasonable voices in the lot. Keiller is another. I hope they'll stay and ride this out come whatever, because the place badly needs adult supervision.

It's true, though. The Bremen Clubhouse transcends a "PTO". That is but one arm of our operation. The visible part, if you like.
The majority of the harm you've done is to yourselves. Did we betray your CP repeatedly? No, Ireland did. Did we vote no to Digit's impeachment proposal? No, Ireland did. Did we grant citizenship to Maddog in the first place, triggering all this? No, Ireland did.

Im a supporter of the National Army but not a member, most aren't.
AC I agree with you but after so long here and the fact we cant even get someone banned from the dail as not enough TD's back a proposal is a joke. The place is a disgrace and the people who said we should be wiped are right. At least get us down to one region so we can control who gets in, thus stopping PTO attempts. Ive lost so much energy for this place and it truly saddens me.
While I disagree with you that we need to be wiped I will agree that TD activity is an issue here in Ireland. It always has been. It may be a little lower than usual but that just may be because we have fewer TDs than we are used to having due to the resignations and the fewer regions. I have no doubt that the arguing has turned some people off but we have always argued. Probably always will.
The reason we have fewer TDs is becuase of Gonzo.
That could be. Could be. We always have had ones that didn't show up or contribute though. It has been an ongoing problem here in Ireland. I'm not saying that the number is not lower due to this ongoing drama but it is not the only reason. I think it is too simple to just blame Gonzo.

So far, I see Marcus and IB, and though getting rid of those two is an accomplishment on its own, I'd really like to see a list of the rest.
AC: I concur. What we see here is practically a constitutional crisis brought forward by a PTO attempt. And it's based on a widespread misbelief that an eRep community equals to all players of the same citizenship.
Practically the optimal political structure of community leadership here would be an in-game military autocracy governed by a democratically organized off-site community.
The point is, the PTOers are done (off screaming like witches that someone threw water on - although they pretend this doesn't phase them) and what needed to be done is now being done. Anything that doesn't jive with this conclusion is irrelevant and wrong.
