Welcome to the second edition of Political Hotspot.



The last ten days have seen a huge amount of events in eUK, with the departure of three longstanding players, Aleksander V Popovik, Alan Warwickshire and Sloegin. They will be much missed in the community, but I am sure that their many contributions over the years will be remembered for a long time to come. I, of course, only know a little of their achievements, having joined eRepublik only this year.

We have also seen the complete takeover of eUK by foreign powers, eBrazil, ePortugal and eFrance. This would appear to raise the question of why money was spent on COs to conquer eCanada, only to find that we can't stop the invasion of our own lands.

Despite seeing a drop in membership, as illustrated above, the Workers Rights Party saw one of it's best performances in Congress elections for some time. Unfortunately, though, there is no Congress this month due to eUK losing all it's regions in the days leading up to, and including, election day. The percentages each party scored are shown above for reference anyway.

The next edition of Political Hotspot should be published on Saturday 6th December. Maybe we'll have some land back by then. Fight hard everyone!
