Peace?

As many of you know, we are now making peace with eUK. We successfully defended Flanders from a British attack, but sadly failed the invasion of the South East of England territory. The Brits are now able to continue watching their loch ness monster swim around.

Now, eBelgium and eUK have drawn up a peace proposal. I would like to know what your opinion on this idea is. No matter what you believe, just remember one thing. eBelgium will forever stay as eBelgium. No country can take our lands away from us, ever.

It's the best solution for several reasons:

- We can keep our position with regard to the big alliances. We must say thanks for the mpp's indeed.
- We continue to progress without invasion.
- We share a future with the other small countries.

I think that the population of the country was hurt by this invasion, the second in a short time. We want to exist and to be to respect as each of the countries on this game.
To close a war is sometimes wiser than an opened rancor.

wars cost a lot , and several countries can't follow. It's logic. It's necessary to be stronger.

I don't really trust them on the long term (few people do, their reputation is pretty notorious), but for now peace is the best solution. And hopefully we can restart our TW with the eDutch again soon, those were fantastic (;

As one of the UKers in the "WTF is our gov. doing" crowd - I say thank god for that.

Quite why the UK Gov. launched an attack on a nation that any of us had barely remembered exsisting (not a troll comment - Belgium just doesn't register as heavily on our minds, nor should it) for reasons unknown to us during the middle of a world war is quite beyond me.

Happily, the UK gov has received as lesson in humility and Belgium has got some awesome wars to fight in and established its relation with the pre-eminent alliance on the continent.

Overall - A win for Belgium I feel.

well if you pay a small 150g to the Belgian War Council ( http://economy.erepublik.com/en/citizen/donate/money/1361039 ) then I can agree with a win for belgium.
Otherwise I would say: the behaviour of the UK has cost a lot of money for the gov and the citizens of eBelgium

It would have cost you less to get wiped, to be fair. You don't lose companies or parties anymore, and you would have been returned quickly - the war was to take a stab at Poland to help Germany and France, and it's unlikely we would have wanted to leave the route to the UK back open for them to take.

Personally, I think it was good that we made peace. If we continued the war, it would just drain both countries even more.
