Overview of the eUK's structure of Military Units

Day 1,901, 05:44 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George
Preamble
How eUK military units relate to the Government (CP, Cabinet, MoD & Congress), the public and the political parties of the eUK is interesting.

In this article I will attempt to illustrate the different types of military units, the different relationships these have with the Government (CP, Cabinet, MoD & Congress), the public and if applicable "their" political parties.

I will also attempt to highlight mainly the benefits and some disadvantages with each of the types of unit however ultimately conclude the eUK benefits from having the diversity.

Overview

The graphic above attempts to show the different "groups" involved in the control of the eUK "Military", their proportional size to each other and how they interact (simply two-way dialog and direct order).

You can see there are basically 6 types of military units.

Official Military Unit/s.
Currently the eUK has one "Official Military Unit" in the past we've had multiple however today we have one, The Legion.

Benefits
"Government Controlled" - Government (elected by the public) directs the units actions in-line with its and our allies strategy. The Government needs to have a group of soldiers ready to respond quickly and don't ask "why"

"Flagship unit" It's reputation making among our allies and enemies to have a large, strong, well organised "Official" military unit with a good community atmosphere.

Attracts efficient, organised, professional and dependable members, captains and commanders

Disadvantages
"Strongly-linked to Government" - Official military units have come and gone, growing strong under well organised, popular governments weakening under poorly managed unpopular governments. Although a string of past successful governments have meant most MUs would like to be associated with the Government so this is not currently a major disadvantage.

Politically aligned military units
Currently the eUK has numerous "Politically aligned military units" such as TUP Family (TUP), British Army (New Era), Sentinels (One Vision), Royal Navy (UKPP), People's Army (PCP), Free British Irregulars (Workers' Rights Party), UKRP Hydra(UKRP) to name a few.

Benefits
"Soldiers with conscience" Answers to their Party, the Public and the Government although loyalty to Government is given based on performance. A sanity check if needed.

Stable and consistently ran due to a mutely beneficial relationship with another community (“the party”). Good introduction to the eUK political community. Good community atmosphere.

Attracts - Loyal, idealistic, principled and consistent members, captains and commanders.

Disadvantages
"Linked to a Party" - Not a major disadvantage at the moment as all politically aligned military units are pro-government and I think all are only loosely aligned to their parties (ie accepting and supplying non party members) however if these units don't align with the "will" of Government because of political disagreements we can end up with a dis-jointed strategy especially with half of the eUK "active fighters" in these type of units.

Non-politically aligned military units
Currently the eUK has numerous "Non-politically aligned military units" such as Tank Nation, Royal Army Dental Corps, Royal Air Force, Tides of Fire, Forrest Rangers, Liberty to name a few.

Benefits
"Free-thinking" Independent forces, not aligned to any party however usually holding strong underlined principles of doing the “right” thing.

An innovative, positive and relaxed community allowing members to fully concentrate on fighting without distraction from political agendas. Good community atmosphere.

Attracts – Pioneering, independent, relaxed and creative members, captains and commanders.

Disadvantages
“No additional support” Generally relies on one or a few dedicated members if these citizens lose interest or leave, it doesn't mean always mean a death sentence to the unit however it does mean another leader within the unit needs to step up. Can be a disadvantage however if properly managed isn't one.

Independent fighters
It's hard to accurate estimate the active population of citizens who fighter independently from any military unit however there is a certain percentage who choose to and probably fight just as hard as "unit" members so out of respect I'd like to highlight their contribution.

Benefits
Complete freedom

Attracts – Independent fighters, who don’t want to or feel the need to join a unit

Disadvantages
“No Daily Order” – No bazookas or community

Foreign and British Military Mercenary Units
I don’t believe the Government has any of these types of unit in employment. I’m not even sure the Government could afford Mercenary Units and at any rate the current state of eUK military units mean we don’t need them. So I won't spend anytime discussing advantages and dis-advantages at this time.

Allied Foreign Military Units
Not included in the above graphic although important “Allied Foreign Military Units” fight for the eUK and alongside the eUK Military units often, I haven’t included them not because they aren't these are important in the Military terms for the eUK as they can be vitally important to the security of the eUK in critical battles/wars. Howver because I wanted to keep this articles focus on the eUK MUs who consistently fight for the eUK and her allies.

Conclusion
The military units of the eUK have a healthy competition of telling everybody why they are the "best", this competition can be great if it doesn't get too destructive. However if you are looking to join a eUK Military Unit read widely and ignore negativity. The eUK is blessed with a good range of excellent Military Units, which any new citizen to the new world can find an great "home".

I'd like to end by saluting all the MUs of the eUK, every unit in their own ways strives to safeguard the eUK and her allies. We should be proud as a nation of the Military Units we have and the effort each one puts in.

About the Author

Why do I feel I can cast comments on the entire military structure of the eUK? I probably can't however my military career hopefully gives me a little bit of an insight.

Military Career briefly summarized is;
Independent Fighter - For quite a while I remained un-aligned to any military units, fighting on occasion based on what I read in the eUK media, Being able to complete "daily orders" to obtain rewards eventually drew me to "organised military life"
Death Squad Member - Great experience in a fantasitc non-politically aligned military unit. It feels like a lifetime since it disbanded.
Liberty Member and Liberty Captain - What can I say about Liberty. One of my most enjoyable experiences in the new World, a tremendous community and strong unit, I'd still be with them if the unique opportunity of launching the Free British Irregulars didn't come along.
Free British Irregulars' Commander - I greatly enjoy creating and maintaining what I feel is an open, creative and progressive military unit, with every solider free to follow their own path and find their destiny in aid of the eUK.

On this path I've manage to reach "God of War" rank and deal just under 300,000,000 damage for the eUK, not the greatest career by any stretch of the imagination however fairly respectable and an indication of what "going your own way" can lead to.
