New Tax Cut Proposed

Ambrose Didymus, an independent serving in the Austrian Congress, proposed a tax cut today which would see rates reduced for moving tickets. The cut would apply to both the import tax, reducing it from 15% to 2%, and the Value Added Tax, reducing it from 5% to 2%. In the face of mounting tax increases, this is a breath of fresh air.
The Austrian Independent encourages all congressmen and women to vote in favor of this proposal, reducing the tax burden on Austrians, and in so doing, stimulate the economy. The more money people keep, the more money they can spend, employing workers, and keeping the country on the right track.

This is not really a "breath of fresh air", it is a continuation of the same pollicy which has seen House and Gift tax change in the past two days.
What I find interesting though is how congressman have vote😛
Tax Change: House - 5% Income, 2% Import, 2% VAT = 10 Yes, 3 No
Tax Change: Gift - 5% Income, 2% Import, 2% VAT = 11 Yes, 3 No
Tax Change: MT - 5% Income, 2% Import, 2% VAT = 1 Yes, 7 No (pending)
Some congressman voted for these House/Gift changes because they wanted to see the tax rates in all industries synchronised. However when I proposed an identical measure, the voting was reversed...obiously not all congressman are basing their votes on this premise.
In reality, It doesn't really matter what these tax rates are.
What is important is that congressman who propose tax increases tell their constituents:
- what they intend to spend the money on
- how long taxes will be at the higher rate
Without this information, i'm obligated to vote 'Yes' to tax reductions and 'No' to tax hikes.
