Hello people of ePakistan!

Now, when I came to ePakistan, I was somewhat surprised to see the state of this once-great nation. To be fair, I wasn’t really around for ePakistan’s glory days, but the stories I have heard make me sad to see the nation the way that it is now.

The DarkKnight, myself, and several others would like to revive ePakistan. However, before you can be a part of a good nation, in my opinion, you must first be a part of a good community. Now IRC is a great and fun way to interact with your fellow players, but in my experience, it doesn’t always carry the stability and consistency of National Forums.

So that’s where I came in. Over the past couple weeks, I have been working on creating a national forum, for all people of ePakistan to use. Foreigners will be welcome as well, if they wished to participate in our forum community. And now, I am pleased to say, The Forum are Up and Running!

So Swagg, how do these forums work?

Well, I am glad you asked.

There are 3 Main Areas of the forum: Erepublik, Real Life, and Forum Discussion.
-Erepublik is the area for all Erep things on the forums. (duh)
-Real Life is for all discussion of real life things. This is just one generic board at the moment, but if there becomes a demand for more specific sub-boards (Gaming, Movies, Sports, etc.), I can easily add them.
-Forum is for discussion about the forum itself. If you are having issues, want to request changes, or just want to complain about admins and moderators sucking at their job, this is the place for that.

Now I’ll explain the Erepublik section more, because there is a lot going on in there. There are Several sub-boards of this section.
-General Discussion: This is the catch-all category of anything Erepublik related. If it doesn’t seem to belong in any other section, stick it here.
-Executive Branch: This is the area for the President and his ministers to do their thing.There are two sections of this board, the regular section, which is visible to every registered user on the forums, and a private section, where the president can discuss more sensitive things with his/her Ministers and Advisors.
-Legislative Branch: This essentially works in the same way as the Executive Branch board, but for Congressmen instead of the president. Like the Executive board, there is a public section of the board, and a private one for Congressmen to discuss more sensitive matters.
-Political Parties: Here is the area where any political party in ePakistan can conduct their business. Each political party receives a public section, visible to all registered users on the forum, and a private section, visible to only members of that party. Currently, the Gotham Political Party and the Vento Aureo party have gotten their own boards, but there is always room for more parties who wish to join the community
-Ministry of Defence: This is the war section. Here we can talk about battle priorities, allied wars, and things of that nature. Also, there is a section here for MUs to conduct their business. These sub-boards would at in the same way as the political party boards, with a public section for everyone, and a private section for members. Currently, the Dioist Legion is the only MU to sign up for this feature.



The forum makes a lot of use of Usergroups, which, for those of you who don’t have much experience with web forums, are basically a way to give a certain group of people special permissions.

For example, one of the groups is Gotham Political Party Member. Being in this group will give you access to the private area of the Gotham Political Party subforum. There is a group for every level of access, and you can have more than one group. For example, The DarkKnight is part of the “President” usergroup, and the “GPP Leader” usergroup. This gives him access to the private Exec section, and the private GPP section.
