Ministry of Community: House Auction and Project Updates

Day 679, 16:57 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

So, firstly, as I explained in my personal article too, I've been around but not so active as normal since Saturday. My laptop was bowing out and needed replacing and I had to set up the new one, having first shopped around and found said new one. Yesterday and today work were pretty hectic, though I'm back to normal now.

Firstly, and I've no banner pic this time lads, because it's on the infirm laptop, I would like to launch an auction!.

Top Gun very generously donated a Q1 House to the Irish State Community Fund and I've agreed with Patton to auction the house off here on the Community org, with all proceeds going to the Irish State Community Fund.

The cheapest Q1 House on the Irish market right now is valued at 218.86 IEP, with the next cheapest being 302.79. Here's your chance to get one for, potentially, much, much less than that.

In order to bid you must comment on this article with "I bid [amount you wish to offer here]". Your bid must be higher than those in any prior comments to qualify, if you bid the same as another bidder whoever commented first will be considered to be winning (unless, of course, they are then out-bid).

No bids will be accepted after 6pm GMT on Friday, 2nd October, which is 10am in the morning eRepublik time.

The highest bidder will be notified they have won and asked to donate the amount of their bid to the Irish State Community Fund. If they fail to do so within twenty-four hours (of the time of nofitication, which will be a little after 6pm, most likely) then they will be considered to have defaulted on the auction, and the next-highest bidder will be asked to donate their bid to the ISCF. Once the IEP is recieved by the ISCF the house will be transferred to it's new owner, who's free to do whatever they like with it.

All bids must be in IEP for clarity's sake. Anyone who bids but does not win is not expected to donate the amount of their bid to the ISCF though they can, of course, do so if they wish.

On this subject I give you what is pretty much a total copy/paste from a prior article, because it only twelve hours left to be voted on and I want to make sure everyone sees it.

Here are the nominees in each category for the Irish Community Awards. These nominees were selected by being tied with each other for the highest number of votes in their respective categories, based on the votes recieved in the first round. In categories where a lone citizen garnered the highest number of votes they are already determined as the winner. I did not vote myself, none of these choices were my own (though some would have been lol).

Please vote only for ONE of the people in each category, and only for one of the named people. Votes for alternatives will not be considered now the first round of voting has closed.

Votes should be made via PM to this org or via comment on this article.

All winners recieve a mention in this paper, a badge they can display in sigs/on forums and, of course, much lauding. All but Lovable Rogue also recieve a Q1 weapon, Lovable Rogue has to go stand in the naughty corner, lol.

This round of voting was supposed to close at 00.01 eRep time on Wednesday 29th September (08.01 GMT), but I'm extending that to 12.01 and 20.01 respectively as my work shift means I won't be home to tally votes before then anyway. Winners will be announced on the evening of Friday 2nd October, all being well, but certainly by the end of the weekend.

You still have almost two full days to buy your lottery tickets, if you feel so inclined. Tickets are 5IEP each and full details can be found in prior articles (most specifically here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/weapon-winners-and-introducing-two-new-initiatives-943603/1/20)

So far we've raised 115IEP to go with the 121.25IEP from the rollover. This means there's currently 177.19 IEP earmarked for the jackpot with the rest destined to replenish the coiffers of this org and expand the account on the Irish State Community Fund.

And that number can only go up between now and Thursday.

And finally a link to the Irish State Community Fund, which I've mentioned with startling regularity throughout this article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/1908995

The ISCF is a communal bank account for the people of Ireland, the funds in which will be spent on whatever the people of Ireland choose to spend it on once there's a decent amount in there. I've just myself donated the gold I got for being elected to congress (albeit elected a couple of days late) but anyone can donate any amount they choose to at any time. I actively encourage people to donate their small change (such as the decimals on their IEP or gold - i.e if you've 10.02 IEP the .02) to the ISCF if they can afford to. We also welcome any foreign currency you have lying around and don't need, every little helps!

As always please vote up and subscribe, and shout if you're feeling generous.

Yours in service,
Einberliner
