Liberation and Countdown Until Game Time
The Forest Ranger
As I write this we have less than two hours until our neighbors to the south express what I can only presume is an attempt to save face after losing.* So I suspect we are in for a ride, one that I don't see ending anytime soon. After all, there is way more of them and it's gonna take a bit to bury them all in good time.**
So, who's up for a fight?
Anyways, I gotta say I don't fully understand the complete circumstances of how we got into tangling with the Americans in the first place. Mostly because it seems convoluted and probably stretching so hard for a reason they run the risk of tearing something.
And on the theme of stretching, it seems to me that at the rate they're expanding into eFrance, eJapan, and now us makes me wonder that perhaps spreading themselves that thin may come back to bite them.
Just my two cents.
*I keep hearing about them being annoyed that we have an alliance with a certain eNation. Which is fair enough, but I don't see how they could reasonably expect us to change alliances to align with their own goals. Confusing, especially since said eNation could probably wipe the floor with them. Why WOULDN'T we be friends with them?
**Sorry, my Albertan is showing.
So it goes.

Brief rundown.
Canada attacks UK a couple days into the war a new alliance forms. UK, USA, Spain, poland.
Canada gets its teeth kicked in by Poland and Spain.
CP I-Bleed-Blue at the time requests entry into said alliance. All nations but USA agree. Were blocked from newly formed Sirius.
End of IBB's term he contacts Serbia and begins talks to join there alliance so we have some international friends. MPP is signed.
Couple days later and after CP elections USA attacks and tries to hold Quebec. USA is shown the door a couple weeks later.
I get the feeling all this is just over our regions they covet and the american leadership has not liked our country for quite sometime.
USA spins it that we never contacted them at all and that aligning with there greatest foe means war no matter the cost. Which is a blatant lie but they have to say as much so they look like heroes saving america.
All there really doing is forcing us closer and closer to new allies who fully have our back. The biggest thing they fear could easily become a reality now with the actions there taking.
That's what it seemed like to me, nice to see my hunch is mostly right. We will see how long they can hold on to their precious bonus.
The answer is: Not long. See previous history.
It would be well to add a few things to the calculus:
1) the eUS already has full bonuses without canadian regions
2) the eUS may like bonuses but was the country which volontarily and purposely got rid of their bonuses, lived without them for a long time, in order to deal with a problem. They are diligent, purposeful and persistent planners.
They got BC so they will frame it as a win and try to rub our noses in it. But we took from them 7 controlled regions and their full resource bonus, which they must now take back by force (or, if they wish for saltpeter in Baja, negotiate - not their strong suit these days). And the fight was not nearly as one-sided as they were likely expecting.
