Party Media Transition
George Armstrong Custer

Welcome, dear readers, to the fourth edition of the Lap Dancers' Gazette, the Official News Source of the Liberty Advancement Party. Today’s edition represents the transition of this publication from Media College to Official Party Newspaper.

Guest Instructor Gnilraps conducted our “final exam,” full length articles.
Gnilraps says, “I was impressed by the sincere attitude of the students. This wasn’t mere roleplay, this was several Citizens being serious about their desire to improve their media game. The best advice I gave them? ‘Never underestimate the power of the [Backspace]’. Yes, that’s why I earn the big bucks.”

With the conclusion of our first Media College course, students will move on to better serve their Party departments, or continue as Gazette staff.

We look forward to your continued readership as the Lap Dancers’ Gazette continues to present Liberty Advancement Party news and information.

You're Invited! (Recruitment)

So, “what does the Liberty Advancement Party have to offer,” you might ask… Well, for starters we are developing our departments within the Party with the aim of increasing not only player education, but also activity.

Are you looking for your opportunity to break into politics? Whether you’re a newer player or a seasoned vet, it’s never a bad time to become part of the driving force behind our eNation’s legacy (and have all the help you’ll need along the way). Take a look at what we have to offer:

One of our most successful programs has been Custer's LAP Media College, designed to give players experience in writing for highly visible publications such as the LAP Dancers’ Gazette, Speaker’s Word and the WHPR.

Perhaps you have an untapped gift for organization and want to apply yourself in our retention department designing contests, IRC games and giveaways for LAP party members. We’ve recently kicked off our IRC trivia Hide-n-Seek game and are developing other fun activities with plenty of rewards!! Join us on IRC in the room #LAP and stop in for a chat.

So if you’re looking to find a fresh new look at politics and what you can do to affect a change, then come on over - LAP Dances For Everyone!! (Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of $1 bills)

This is what we mean by "the Party of new beginnings." Begin here, at the LAP.

Work for your Party
Uncle Shylock

While writing this segment, I’ve been working on Christmas shopping; I’ve gotten my father ₡100,000 (he plans on retiring in two years to Costa Rica) and I purchased a dachshund pendant for my mother (She is a crazy dog lady-- imagine a crazy cat lady, hold the cats, add extra dogs). Despite being extremely busy of late, I am still happy to help my party when they need it.

I understand that many of us are celebrating Christmas and as such our ‘free time’ is very, very limited. I am not asking you to spend time that ought to be spent looking for gifts, with loved ones sending messages on a third-rate MMO. In fact, I am not even asking you to volunteer to help now (unless of course, you want too!). Just give some spare time whenever you can next year in January.

We’ve got plenty of positions that need to be filled and your commitment can range from doing an article segment a week, sending out a few messages to new players or fellow party members to recruiting new members, or seeing what can be done to help retain current members.

If you are interested in helping, there is a form that can be found by clicking here.
And please, friends, have a very Merry (and safe) Christmas!

December LAP Forum Rewards
DylanBAS

It’s been very obvious that our Party forums are not up to the same level as the other Parties' and we have worked hard to change that. We came up with a few ideas and the easiest way was obvious. The obvious way is simple. We offer up a big prize for getting on the LAP forums-- and it seemed suitable since this is the season of giving. So we are offering up a prize of 50 tanks to two randomly chosen lucky LAP members (Party Execs are excluded!) who are on the LAP member’s list by the 14th of January.

Come sign up here and join us on the LAP forums! It takes less than 2 minutes to sign up and you have a chance to win a pretty good number of free tanks. Now, isn’t that a great gift?

LAP Congress Sign-Up
Sharky Malarkey

So it’s almost that time of the month again (and no I don’t mean when TUGT gets cranky and asks us all why we don’t help him around here). No, it’s almost time for Congressional elections, which takes place on December 24th.

This month we are on top of our game and hoping to get 8-10 seats into Congress. As the “party of possibilities”, LAP looks to promote and encourage both the salty veteran and those still wet behind the ears. This is the place to be if you are looking for an oppurtunity. Here at LAP, the Party Leadership is always looking to help the new Congressmen, “because we don’t just want you in Congress - we want you to do well in Congress!”

If you would like to serve as an LAP Congressman, please fill out this interest form: LAPCongress and tell us a little bit about yourself.

I also want to encourage EVERYONE to get out and vote for LAP on the 25th. The difference in membership between the #2 party and #5 party is only 30 members, or just a hair over 10%. With a good turnout at the polls, we have every possibility of pushing our way up the ladder.

Vote For the Liberty Advancement Party!! Ubi Libertas, Ibi Patria!

Membership: Critique Your Party Leadership
Lothair Carlovingian

Fellow eAmericans, these are exciting times in eRepublik. As has been discussed at great length (forgive us), they are especially exciting for the Liberty Advancement Party. As Christmas approaches, we are looking to vitalize the Party in many ways, the latest of which is an opportunity for members to critique their leadership.

We know as eAmericans that every voice is important, and every person has good ideas to contribute to the well-being of all. Consequently, a questionnaire has been developed with the goal of gathering all of these good ideas so that our beloved party management may implement the best strategies suggested by you, the greatest eAmericans, esteemed LAP comrades.

We implore you to take the time to complete the simple form, as we truly believe that every opinion will affect our party for the better. On behalf of every one of your fellow LAP members, thank you very much for taking the time to read this long article and for playing your crucial part in the advancement of liberty.

Your gateway to a better tomorrow (the form).
