Joyous!

Day 1,857, 17:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell

It's a time of year where we're reminded to love eachother and wish eachother well, be generous and joyful and generally be good to your fellow man!

I was going to do a simple article reminding people of this and that, no matter your religion, it's always good to use any excuse to bring happiness and joy to eachother in any way possible. But, as I sat to write this surrounded by family, on a laptop (for once, weird keyboard), a slack buddhist a long way from my home in London, I had to ask myself "Why?".

The reason for that is simple: The people I associate with display these qualities all year round! Without provocation nor reacting to situation nor for back-scratching reasons, my friends are people whose company I enjoy, whose help I receive, whose opinions and concerns are genuine, who give freely and without question all year long.

So, when considering the time of year, I realise it's just like any normal time for ESO!

I'm not a religious guy, as fortunate or unfortunate as you may consider me for that, but I know when to be and when I am truly thankful!
I'd like to thank my friends, my colleagues, my brothers and sisters I have made here who have enabled me, empowered me and given to me all year long.

Without their constant inspiration there's no way I could have kept faith and motivation this long (I do seem to be getting on a bit in eRepublik terms) in the game, let alone become and remain an asset to our nation, with much more potential to give still!

Thank you ESO! With the new year comes new opportunities and challenges and I am proud to face them together with you!

And likewise to everyone! I hope we all have great holidays whatever your beliefs, every single one of us deserves good times and to enjoy the company of loved ones during these cold winter months; be you a fellow member of ESO or a brother from another party, be you an eUK citizen or a member of our current enemies in eCanada or anyone, anywhere around the world.

Have good times, spread happiness and (speaking as someone who has experienced a lot of loss in my life) be most excellent to eachother at every opportunity!

Happy holidays to all whatever you happen to celebrate!
