Job's, War, and Small Party's

Jobs

As you may know, I wrote a series of successfull new player's guides. I often send these guides to new player's, to tackle the problem every country faces in people going inactive.

Recently, I've been getting quite a few responses, apart from the normal thanks, and odd questions. New player's are having trouble finding jobs. I myself often check the Job market, and sometimes there are Skill 0 job's available, but a lot of the time there isn't. This is a huge problem, if there aren't any skill 0 jobs then new player's won't be able to complete one of the first tasks they need to do in the game. Not only that, but it can get to the stage where they aren't buying food, and losing wellness. If when I began playing the game was subjected to this, I don't think I would have bothered carrying on. Obviously the amount of jobs available is in constant flux, my advice if you can't find a job straight away is always to check back later - and see if things have changed.

Why the lack of skill 0 jobs?
Skill 0 players have lower productivity then higher skilled players. From the business owner's point of view, you will make more money if you have higher skilled workers. As well as that, we in the UK are not blessed with Raw Materials. We only have Grain (And oil in Wales), and the Grain market is flooded, prices are dropping. This is making it even more difficult for managers to make a profit, and most of them don't bother creating job offers for skill 0 players.

Personally, I have taken the philanthropic route, both of my businesses have ran job offers pretty much exclusively for skill 0 player's. If you are a skill 0 player and need a job feel free to PM me, I shall see what I can do.

War

After the collapse of Atlantis, a few PEACE countries have been upping their efforts recently. Yesterday Indonesia gained complete occupation over South Africa, we had an MPP with them, and tried our best to resist the Indo's, unfortunately our best isn't enough to repel the Indonesian war machine, and South Africa has lost it's independance.

Closer to home, Germany fell victim to what we know think was a Polish PTO. (See my last article) The multi accounts used have been reported, and killed. It is likely that we shall see more battles involving Germany, and although thinks may look grim, I shall still fight.

I few alliances are being proposed, I've seen 3 here in the UK and one being proposed from Canada, the one thing on my mind when it comes to making Alliances is that we should secure our relationship with the USA. If the USA becomes committed then many other countries will follow in it's wake.

I hope to see a reduction is government spending to try and raise money for our military, when compared to countries like Canada, ours is very underfunded. For example, Canada provides its soldiers with around 4 weapons, the quality of which depends on the skill of the individual soldier. I hope to see our military adopt similiar idea's, once we regain the bundles of cash we lost through past schemes.

Small Party's

Here in the UK we have a wide range of small party's (These are party's that are not in the top 5).
The 2 most striking, in my opinion are the CSCP, and the BEP. If your not sure of which party to join, don't fancy or don't like any of the big party's, you can always consider a small one.
I particularly like the CSCP, who have been acting in the background recently, they have the public's best interest at heart, they are also quite friendly, and like myself willing to help new player's and old player's alike.

Everyone's heard of the BEP, wether it be on the forums, or wether through what seems is almost a daily newspaper, the BEP a new party is constantly achieving, and setting new targets, their membership is on the rise, and they seem to have a good leadership.
