New Month - New Goals

Hello everybody. Well it seems you are stuck with me again as Minister of Community. This is my fourth term as Minister and I hope to get one of my new ideas working this month. More on that in a bit.

Irish Lottery Reminder

Remember the Irish Lottery is being drawn tonight. We need more entries. If you have forgotten this is how it works.

Rules:
- Pick a number from 1-59.
- The winning number will be the first ball drawn in the Maine Powerball draw on Saturday, October 8th, 2011
- 5 IEP per ticket
- You can buy up to 5 tickets
- If you are level 20 or lower, then your first ticket is free. YES FREE!
- To enter your numbers you must fill out the form on the National Forum. It can be found here.
- You must donate the ticket fee to Anthony Colby before the draw is made on Saturday night.

Extended Rules:
- If no winner after the first ball, we proceed to the second ball and so on
- If there are no winners after all balls are drawn, the pot will roll-over to next week
- If there is more than one winner the pot will be split evenly.
- There is a guaranteed prize of 1,000 IEP thanks to donations from great friends of the Irish Community.
- If you don’t fill out the form it will be assumed the money is a no strings donation to the Irish Community
- No orgs can participate

For those of you who have issues with the Forum, either you don’t use it or can’t register for some reason you can contact me with your numbers. I know the forum is “dead” but it will make my job easier especially once I get my next idea running.

International Lottery

Well here is my idea. I want to hold an international lottery that will help bring some gold to Ireland.

Here is how I envision it working.

You will choose 3 numbers between 1 and 41 per ticket.
You can enter as many times as you like.
Each ticket costs .01 Gold. ( Gold so I don’t have many different currencies to deal with.)
No orgs.

The Ministry will put up 1000 IEP worth of gold for the jackpot.
If you match one number on a ticket you win .02 gold.
Match two and you win .10 gold.
Match all three you win the jackpot.
No jackpot winner and the pot rolls over til the next drawing.
More than one winner and the pot gets split evenly.

I figure half the money raised will go to raising the jackpot. This way there should be more incentive to enter the lottery. The remaining money will first go to pay off the non jackpot prizes and then the rest goes to the national treasury. These amounts are not set in stone and I would appreciate any input as to why you think they should be different.

Please post your comments in the comment section.

Deputy Ministers

I also would like anyone who wants to help the Irish Community to become a deputy Minister. I can use help with ideas and articles. It lets you get involved and get some experience for other Ministry positiions.

Thanks

Anthony Colby
Minister of Community.
