Day 879, 08:23 Published in Ireland Ireland by Anthony Colby

Hello Ireland. Today I am writing from Jharkhand, India having been deployed with the Irish Tank Division. I am the newly appointed Executive Officer of the 2nd Brigade. We do not have a unit name as of yet but I am sure the lads will come up with one. As I said I am in India at the moment helping to restore Indian land to the Indian people. Serbia has invaded the homes of our friend and ally and Ireland will do what she can to help. At the moment all is quiet.

IDF Deployments

Lately the IDF has seen a major increase in activity. I was sent to Norway to help out when a group of nations including the UK and Russia tried to destroy our friend through political and military moves which turned out were against the rules. The resulting loss of all gains made illegally and the resulting humiliation have to be the largest embarrassment in eRepublik history. I was then immediately sent to Australia before returning home to Ireland. A few battles later, which did not turn out as well as we would have liked, and I was ordered back to Ireland. It was not to be a very long stay at home. Two days ago several IDF units were sent to India to fight against the Serbs and several units were sent to South Africa to fight against Brazil.

IDF Restructure

Currently the IDF is under a major restructuring to get us ready for when V2 is released. The changes in how we fight and when necessitated these changes. The IDF originally was divided into many units based on military strength. Now we will be divided into several divisions based on weapons. There will be Na Fianna, which will act as it always has and four other divisions. There is a Tank division, a Helicopter division and an Artillery and Infantry divisions. Commanding officers for each have been named as well as two Executive officers for each division. A new supply method has also been tested during the recent deployments and is working well.

The UK

During the last Presidential election the current PM for the UK, Glados, made some outrageous claims that after the UK destroyed Norway they would come after Ireland. Well we know how well the UK adventure in Norway went for them. Norway is still there and the only thing destroyed was the credibility of the UK. Then the UK kept their promise and came after Ireland with the most devastating weapon at their disposal....the EMBARGO. I do not doubt that eventually the UK will make good on their promise to attack our homes but it looks like there will be a little wait while they wait for the EMBARGO to soften us up. Anyone worried that they won't be able to get their tea from the UK do not worry. Since the UK gets it from India anyway I will bring back a supply for you when I return to Ireland after my deployment.

All members of the IDF should use this time and the current deployments to increase their training and strength for the eventual attack by the UK. Eventually they will have to come since they will have to save face and there is no way we will let them forget about it.
