Hello kids,
Quimbie here. Let’s get to it. This article outlines my intention to run for the Party Presidency of Clan Wolf.
Let me begin by giving huge props to Tyrael Snow for his tireless work within the Clan. His stubborn determination has created a party that is now the number one, in terms of numbers, in eCanada. He will continue to be its de facto/symbolic leader. This is his baby, I simply want to take care of it for awhile.
But let me be clear. I am not Tyrael Snow. I respect him greatly and consider him a colleague and a friend, but our political visions are different. TS is a fighter, he chooses his enemy and focuses his political energy on defeating that party/candidate/cause. I am a different beast. I am a consensus builder. I believe in good policy and diplomacy. I want the Clan to develop a clear vision. I want the eCanadian electorate to know exactly what they are voting for. And with the political void left because of TS’ hiatus (a well deserved hiatus, I might add. He fought hard, he has earned a break) the Clan needs to rebrand itself. The Clan has to be the responsible, progressive alternative to the Coalition.
The path to a responsible Clan Wolf government runs through the Coalition. The MDP and it’s satellites have had a stranglehold on this country for months and months and months. The oligarchs that run this country are not going to give up their reign of power easily. It is going to be fight, just as it has always been a fight. But I want to fight this fight, not through name-calling and mudslinging. The bad guys, the powers-that-be, are going to cheat, lie and buy votes. That goes without saying, that’s how they roll. Now,I haven’t the personal resources, nor am I willing to waste party resources fighting the way they fight. We are bigger than that. We are the honest, positive, good governance option. We are the way forward.
What does this mean? It means working tirelessly on policy. It means developing ideas that are not only attractive politically, but that will also work. It means dialoguing with other parties, especially those that have similar visions of an oligarchy-free future. It’s about ideas and consensus. Everyone has a voice in Clan Wolf. My job will be to listen, weed through the ideas, and present to the eCanadian electorate a viable option next month.
So there, I will have more to add as my own political vision expands.
I am asking for your support. I would be humbled to be your Party President. Rap at me folks. I want to hear your ideas. I want to know what you think.

But does it have to? The Clan is a huge voting block. If TS is inactive this month, would it not be in his best interest to try and hold onto as many of those voters as possible (say if he is planning the whole rising phoenix thing?)? I don't want to become the new face of the Clan, I simply wanna be it's caretaker. We are the largest party in the country, the only party (with a little help from some friends) that can compete with the endless Coalition loop. Just a thought.
Oh, and well, I am not totally against the idea of a name change. But again, that is up to TS. Wherever the hell he is?
Accordingly, Tyrael will receive every vote anyway.

While I was CP, I was still a member of MOO but the distraction of being CP left me as two-clicking member of the party. Things quickly unraveled, and you have the sitting CP to thank for that.

A step forward in diplomacy for the Clan that's for sure, our parties for all intensive purposes should ideally be working together. I wish you luck sir. Although I have a feeling Tyreal is somewhere dusting off his whip.
ZV, I have made multiple attempts to communicate my intentions to TS, but he is nowhere to be found. If, after regaining some levity and focus he wants to continue to lead this party, I will end my campaign.
Addy, if TS is done, what then should be done with the Clan's gigantic voting block? I'd hate to see all those votes go to the Coalition. Where is the sport in that?
Tikiki you get where I am coming from. Cooperation among non-Coalition parties is key to breaking the stranglehold that they have on eCanadian politics.

Tyrael is still around, fighting at the very least. He told me he was busy a couple days ago. He ain't gone yet.
Oh he is clicking, he's just not interacting. I am completely unaware of his intentions.
I think a change up might be good for the clan, TS brought the clan to the glory it is in today, but if Quimbie Muffins ran and won, he could give a new perspective to the clan perhaps. I am quite interested to see what happens here.

Quimbie I would be very happy to see you as PP of Clan Wolf, because you would be someone I think I could actually work with and cooperate with you and Clan Wolf.

Good luck with this Quimbie, what your party needs is an identity outside of what its leader provides, and this is a step in the right direction.
Thanks Xzar. I will never replace the legacy left by Tyrael Snow, and that is not my intention. What I want to do is direct the massive voter block that he has developed, towards defeating the Coalition candidate, or at least making it a fair fight. I see no point in having a party, with this many voters, stagnating and idle while it's long time leader finds himself. Maybe its time he flung the keys to somebody else for awhile.
This is something I wish we could have done with EPIC in the end... It is a great vision - difficult to implement, but great.

Thanks Gatsa, I have ties to EPIC. I was saddened by its sabotage and demise.
I believe in this cause, but there is little I can if Tyrael Snow's name remains on the ballot. The two clickers and blindly loyal will continue to vote for him en masse. Oh well, at least I got folks engaged.
