Happy New Year And My Intake and Life of the Past Year

Day 772, 21:42 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jake Pearlshire

Dear readers,

First off - Happy New Year, and best wishes to you all! I wanted to celebrate by sharing with you all my experience over the past year.

This time last year I was in the eUK (same as now), except I was a n00b testing out places to live. I was not very active in the game and my health was around 40. I had just moved from eSpain, and before that I was in eRomania, hoping to be Russian by being born in Moscow Region. I never got active while I was here the first time so I moved on to see what eUS was like. When I moved there, I was greeted by Dania (been efriends with her ever since), who invited me to join the United States Workers Party, and I was planning to anyway so I joined, but never got active. I was more active at the moment with another game, NationStates 2, where I had a very powerful country with a lot of diplomacy matters to manage.

After living in the eUS for a month, I saw eRussia became independent and because that's where I wanted to be when I made my eRepublik account, I moved there to see what it was like. I moved to Moscow Region and a day later I decided to fight in a battle. Assuming there was a hospital, I attacked 3 times, bringing my health to 60. Then I got 5 different pm's saying "Move to Kaliningrad and bring your health up to 90." So I did, and it took me a couple of days to go up to 90.

After about a month of living there, I found that I didn't really like eRussia for a few reasons. It wasn't the right fit for me, I could read some Russian but not a whole lot, and I found they were too strict when it came to your healthcare. So I decided to move back to eUK because I found that out of all the countries I lived in, I found I fit in the best. Right around when I decided to move my favorite game NationStates shut down, and the worst part was that it was in the summer. I went searching for good games to play and I came across a few but none that I tried I really liked, so I decided to become more active in eRepublik. Right around then, diplomacy involving the eUK was ever so confusing for someone who wasn't fully active. There were people saying stuff like "Our PM's a traitor!" because he switched alliances. Finally I came across this article that explained absolutely everything, which started the growth of my character in eRepublik. Later, I found out about the forum and decided to become active in it. I had one problem - my old computer wouldn't open it, which halted my growth in eRepublik. I was slightly active until one morning I had the crazy idea of running for congress in Yorkshire & Humberside. I didn't know what I was getting into, what I was doing or anything like that. I had no approval whatsoever from the TUP and didn't know how big my mistake was. Then, I decided to become active in the forum, because I got a new computer which could access the forum. Right when I was about to leap in, my internet crashed.

After a month, I got my internet back, and decided to take it easy. I wanted to become active in the forum, but I didn't know how. With some help from our PM, Mr Woldy, Stefan1992, and Lord Weiis, I found out where to start to become active in the eUK forum, and I thank you all for your help. Someone else who really helped me out with becoming active was Winston L.S. Churchill and without even trying. Many are probably wondering, how? Because his tragic flaws and media attention gave me a door to where to start with my articles. I started with challenging Winston L.S. Churchill, which gave me a voice in the eUK. I also met people like Caradir, who I wouldn't have met otherwise and developed a friendly relationship with.

After a month of being active I decided to run for congress again. This time I ran in Flanders instead of Yorkshire & Humberside (very long story). I lost the election, but that opened me up to more opportunities and ways to serve the eUK. Maybe it wasn't the right time for me to run. It also gave me a stronger voice in the eUK than I had before. Now here I am now writing this article, looking back at where I was last year. Next year I'll be doing the same.
