Happy eBirthday to Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Day 999, 12:05 Published in Ireland Ireland by Edana Savage

It has been a very long time since I have written an article on here. I figure if there is ever a time to start up again it would be on my eBirthday. I am officially a year old, a veritable old fogey in terms of eRep. I won't say ancient because that's not the case. Snake, Patton, and a few others would qualify for that title.

I remember when I first purchased this paper. I was so excited when I leveled up enough to get one. I have used it as a platform to speak my mind, to catalyze, to inform, to challenge, to piss off, and to show some love. I have enjoyed every minute of it.

Now I've always said that RL come before eLife, and that has been true for me the last few months. It has been a very difficult time for me and my people. For those who don't know I run a disability advocacy organization in the US. The economic meltdown has wreaked havoc on many. On top of all that, I lost my board treasurer to a massive heart attack, and I was scheduled for a huge audit that happens once every three years. Needless to say this has taken a toll on my health and my time on here.

Thank you to all who have shown concern. Right back at ya. I love you guys to pieces, even our rogues.

So now that my RL audit is complete..... I passed with flying colours and even exceeded their expectations. They said and I quote, "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. It's working!" For those who have been audited they NEVER say things like that. Ever. So I'm pleased as punch right now.

V2 has been a helluva ride. There have been a lot of people who have left that I wish hadn't. I still have not recovered economically from it all. I've made peace with it and commend Snake's efforts to get us back on track economically. While, I've adjusted to the changes on a personal level and on the business level, I still find the war module a bit of a mystery. I'm going to have to hunt one of you down and make you teach me everything there is to know. I promise to be gentle. 😉

Once I feel comfortable with the war module I will be taking on new citizens again. I miss mentoring the young. I know there are fewer of those younguns than before, but I am confident we will see our numbers flourish once again. Ireland is too fiesty, too interesting, too exciting not to.

So there is my ramble. It's a long one I know.

I will enjoy getting to know some of the younger citizens and reaquainting with the older ones. And yes, getting back to the business of destroying boxes. 😉
