FDP: How Low Can You Go?

Day 874, 06:59 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The B

I am writing this in response to the FDP's advance into the top five, not through their own effort and perseverance, but through a PTO that wasn't even conducted by them.
Let's get this straight, I have had no disagreement with the FDP up to now. I actually was a member for a bit.

Last month the BEP was PTO'ed by Joachim Von Bremen for the laughs. I suppose that was funny (I can't really say that was since it was my party), although it dragged on a bit. Then Craig Rossiter took over and last night changed it to the Free Democratic Party.
So effectively we have FDP in the top five through, not through hard work like all the other parties, but through other people's devotion to the BEP.

Face it, FDP, you are a dying party who are desperate. Look at this message from Mahmoud Ibn Abdullah, an experienced member of the community:

"E ffective now, I'm resigning my position as President and member of the FDP. The party is a wreck and I can't take it any more; the FDP was an experiment that failed.

Right now, we've got a nasty mix of mass inactivity, and those who are active apparently are more interested in keeping the power they have. During my time in office, I was generally denied access to mass mailing and other tools, and folks who shall not be named consistently ran the party behind my back, negotiating deals with other parties without my permission or knowledge and neglecting to tell me about them until it was too late to cancel them.

Some people will undoubtedly say that I'm just angry that I'm going to lose our primary, and to a certain extent they are right. I'm losing to a candidate whose manifesto is basically "I'm going to do whatever Mahmoud says he'll do in his Manifesto"; I'm not mad at him, but come on, at least come up with your own ideas. What's ticked me off is that during campaigning the very people who neglected to give me access to any of the organs of party control complain that I haven't done enough to merit reelection.

I don't know if its ignorance or maliciousness, but either way it doesn't matter. I joined the FDP because I liked the people in it, but most of those people have either left the party, disappeared altogether, or are inactive, and the few original FDPers who remain are honestly starting to rub me the wrong way.

I wish the new Party President the best of luck in sorting this mess out. I hope my plans you have appropriated as your own work. That's not sarcasm- I mean that sincerely. Please remove me from access to the Party forums as well."

You are never going to get to the top spot. We shall sort out this TO, and then perhaps you shall see.
