eRomania: The Cowardly Lion

Romania has apparently decided to stop fighting Indonesia and betray every citizen in ATLANTIS, every non-eRomanian who has invested and sacrificed to help them, and all of those who were relying on their success. This ultimate betrayal is essentially an eRomanian nation-wide hissy-fit in response to a failed blackmail attempt against the Admins.
How and why this lunacy has occurred isn't important. What is important is the repercussions this will have across the new world as PEACE conquers everyone and they and their cronies dominate the game. The smaller nations of the new world have no advocate for their defense now, as there is no one left (of any importance) who will defend them. eUSA? eUK? They can't do anything to stop Indonesia and PEACE! eUSA failed to invade eMexico of all places, and their attacks against eRussia were also failures. eUK? Well they don't seem to have the stomach to fight, only to argue with the Americans and Irish over war games that turned into a fiasco. Yes, the two "mighty" nations on the Atlantic cant even get war games right, much less fend off the Indos.
The whiny Romanians have willingly failed to hold the pass against Xerxes, and now all the land will fall. Thank Admin we at least have the RW system to allow nations to rise from the ashes, otherwise all of the new world would be screwed for ever. The only hope for ATLANTIS now is for dissent and division withing the ranks of PEACE to stall their war efforts, which is unlikely at best.

Never say that because it is always important. Like the fact that they were asking for the admins to conduct a thorough investigation and simply to freeze the fight and not just to end it so that if the investigation was thoroughly done Indonesia could still win. That doesn't seem like blackmail that seems like protest or an appeal. It isn't Romania's fault the admins don't listen or take drastic enough action to fix things. However they do have one of the biggest populations and so can make the biggest difference by protesting. While the alliance may now fail we should thank Romania for making drastic actions in the name of better administration. I have a feeling the era of two alliances is over anyway. Let rise the smaller alliances and let us see some real action going on world wide.

A petition of redress is one thing, but now that they've decided to go all "noble" and quit, who has to pay for it? Not the Admins, but us, and all those in ATLANTIS who were supporting Romania and had a vested interest in their success. They've let all of those people down because of what? To prove a point that doesn't need proving?

While romanians will practice a non-combat stance, no gold will be bought with RL money for wars. We'll see how much this stance will last.
