대만, 그들의 계획은 분명하다.

일본의 경우, 땅을 빼앗긴지 1개월 정도 밖에 되지 않았기 때문에, 아직 투지 수치가 낮다. 따라서 그들은 먼저 일본에게 주적을 선포하고, 일본을 쓸어낼 것이다.

한국의 경우에는, 땅을 빼앗긴 기간이 길어 투지 보너스가 높다. 따라서 대만은 우선 일본을 정리하고 난 뒤에 한국을 공격하려 할 것이다.

한국과 일본의 땅을 다시 빼앗고 난 뒤에 대만에게는 두 가지 선택이 가능하다. 첫번째는 정기적으로 우리에게 땅을 되돌려줘서 투지 보너스를 1로 떨어뜨리는 것이고 두번째는 투지보너스가 3-4정도로 높아졌을 때 우리가 직접 저항전을 일으켜 땅을 되찾는 것이다. 대만은 아마도 투지 보너스가 높은 상황에서 땅을 지키기 위해 싸우려하진 않을 것이다. 가능성은 별로 높지 않지만, 몇 가지 조건을 걸고 우리가 땅을 유지하게 해 줄 수도 있다.

어찌됐든, 투지 보너스 덕분에 몇 개월 마다 며칠정도는 땅을 되찾는 일이 가능해졌다. 이것은 분명히 좋은 일이다. 우리는 땅을 되찾은 기간을 이용해서 꼭 국회를 열어야할 것이다.

나는, 국회의원 선거를 치루고 난 뒤에, 즉시 세금을 1%로 떨어뜨리고, 국고에 있는 돈을 시민들에게 나눠줄 것을 제안한다.

며칠 전에, 한국과 일본에게 땅을 돌려주는 협상에 관한 기사가 대만 신문에 실렸다. 다들 알다시피 대만의 몇몇 혐한들은 한국을 가리키는 조선 대신에 朝癬이라는 말을 쓰고 있다. (癬은 무좀, 곰팡이로 생기는 피부병을 지칭하는 말). 이런 사람들이 딱히 중요한 것 아니지만, 이런 말장난을 하는 사람들이 있다는 건 알아두자. 이 신문에서 중요한 것은 일본이 땅을 되찾게 되면 국회의원 선거를 통해 세율을 1%로 낮춰버릴 것이기 때문에 신용할 수 없고, 상대적으로 한국은 더 믿을만하다는 것이다.

신용이 문제는 아닐 것이다. 한국은 분명 믿을 만한 국가이며, 일본에 대한 캐나다의 침략을 막기 위해 스스로를 희생했던 그런 나라다. 우리는 캐나다에 비해 열세였음에도 불구하고 단지 그것이 옳은 일이기 때문에 용기를 내어 전쟁을 치뤘다. 두 차례나 ATO를 빙자해 정복을 하고 (우리를?) 속국으로 삼으려고 했던 대만과 달리.

원래 주제에서 좀 벗어난 듯하지만, 내가 말하고 싶은 것은 대만에 한국에 대한 입장에 따라 크게 두 파벌이 존재한다는 것이다. 한쪽에는 이 게임을 단순히 게임으로 즐기는 부류가 있다. 그들의 주 목적은 자원을 모으고, 좀더 강해지는 것 등이다. 그들은 실제 세계에서의 혐한 이슈나 게임 내의 여러 정치 같은 것들을 그저 게임을 위해 이용할 뿐이다. 그들은 우리가 ONE 멤버가 아니었을 때에도 우리가 대만을 공격하기 위해 ONE과 동맹을 맺었다고 비난하던 것을 상기하자. 나는 그들도 그들의 명분에 대해 별 신경을 쓰지 않고 굳이 더 그럴 듯한 명분을 만들려고 하지도 않는다고 생각한다.

다른 한편에는, 현실에서의 혐한 감정을 게임에서의 혐한 감정과 혼동하는 사람들이 있다. 때로는 한국사람들을 개**라고 부르기도 하고..

한국이 대만과 진지하게 협상을 하고자 한다면, 단순히 믿을 만한/신뢰할 만한 국가라는 걸 보여주는 것만으로는 부족할 것이다. 대만 플레이어의 상당수는 그저 한국을 쓸어내버리고 싶어할 뿐이다. 국가의 세율은 그저 게임의 일부일 뿐이니, 협상에 필요하다면, 주저하지 말고 협상카드로 활용해야한다.

대만은 강자에게는 약하고 약자에게는 강한 나라이다. 그것은 대만이 예전에 대만을 점령했던 유일한 나라인 세르비아와 동맹을 맺은 것을 보면 알 수 있다. 대만이 진지하게 협상에 임하길 원한다면, 가능한 모든 협상카드를 활용하고, 국력을 좀더 강하게 만드는데 모든 역량을 집중해야할 것이다


It is not a really a secret, it is obvious what they are trying to do.

For eJapan, because they have only been occupied for about a month, so the determination bonus is still pretty low over there. So I expect them to NE eJapan first and then wipe them.

For eSK, because of the length of time they have occupied our regions, hence the high Determination Bonus. So they have decided that they will RW all our regions back on the map and then they will declare NE on us after they finished with Japan. And try to reset the Determination bonus here by wiping us.

And after they wiped us out, there are two options for them. Because the determination bonus will start accumulate straight away after they conquered our regions. The two options are they can either periodically help us to bring our regions back with RW before it gets too high to reset the Determination Bonus back to 1, or we can do it ourselves when the determination bonus reach somewhere at around 3 or 4. I am positive they wont defend it when it gets too high. There is a third way which I dont think they will do is to allow eSK on the map with some conditions attached.

Either way, the Determination Bonus will help us back on the map for a few days in a few months. Is this a bad thing? It is definitely better than what we have now, and in this week, we will have Seoul and congress back this month. So, make sure you can run for congress.

After the congress election, I would advise the congress should immediately reset all the taxes to 1% and return all wealth back to their citizens! The next thing the congress should do is to transfer some money out of the treasury to help our citizens.

A few days ago, there was an article in the eRoC press about both the eSK and eJapan's negotiation on our request to return some land back to us. And you know how some eRoCers are racists and just use play on word like 「朝癬」 instead of the correct term 「朝鮮」 to describe Koreans. 「癬」 in Korean is something like 「백선에」. Not that these people are important or anything. Just letting you know something interesting about eRoCers' word game. What is important about that article was a discussion about how the Japanese are unreliable because they reset the tax rate back to 1% right after the congress election. And how Korean are more reliable in comparison.

I dont think reliability is an issue. Because eSK is reliable country, we were the country which sacrifice our self interest to block eCanada when they suddenly decided to invade eJapan. That took a lot of courage because on the battlefield, we were pretty weak compares to the Canadians at the time but we still do it because it was the right thing to do. Contrary to eRoC, which has twice made an ATO attempt into a conquest, a demand for tributary.

Anyway, I am a bit off topic there. What I want to say is there are two different main thinking in eRoC about eSK. On one hand, there is a group who want to treat this game as a game. I can call them gamers, and their main objective is to collect resources, and things like that. And all those RL issues, or in game dramas are just excuses for them to exploit. Remember how they accused us of allying with ONE to invade them when we werent even a member of ONE. I could be wrong, but I dont think they really care, or even the plausibility of their excuses, because the other group dont need any reasons to hate Koreans.

So you have the second group, they have the foot soldiers, rank in file. Some of these people are pretty nasty people, who often mix their feeling of RL dislike of Koreans in the game, like referring Koreans are dogs, etc.

The bottomline for eSK is if you want eRoC to treat any negotiation seriously, you can't just do that by just being "reliable" and just do whatever they want. Because many of them just want you wiped. Our tax rate is part of the game, and if you think that will strengthen our position in the negotiation, use it.

eRoC is a country which fears the powerful, but will pray on the weak. This is clearly demonstrated by their alliance with their mortal enemy in the game, eSerbia, the only country which has wiped them. If you want them to treat any negotiation seriously, keep all options with you allowed by the game and use the time over the holiday to be powerful. This is the only way.
