eRepublik eBelgium Meeting 2015 - CANCELED(aftermath)

LAST TIME! - NEVER AGAIN! ...maybe

This article is mostly me expressing my disappointment in my fellow players and their indifference towards the little things that are done for them.

First of all...
The meeting was supposed to take place on the 19 September 2015(that is the day after this article was published).
It was to be starting in the Central station in Brussels
We where going to play some bowling, grab a bite to eat, tour the city center & have some drinks.
What happened!?
As you can guess by now all of this did not happen. Just for the simple reason that all those who where going to come had canceled! Only 1 person was going to come, Trico, but in the morning of that day i told him he shouldn't bother to come this time unless he wanted to spend the day with me alone. So he didn't come.
Some of the reasons that the participants cancele😛
~ A family event - What to say... sometimes family matters can't be rescheduled. Still, if you can ...then do plan it as such!
~ Got sick - Naturally not something you can anticipate.
~ "if not enough people come, i will not come either" - This would be in my eyes a lame excuse,... unless you come from a very long distance or your travel time is more then 2-3 hours.
~ Don't want to do this - If you know you are not going to be interested enough, then don't say you will come. Do not wait for the last possible moment to change your mind!!!
I didn't add Elynea's article in here as here reason for canceling was clearly beyond anyone's control.
Just to clarify... i do not blame anyone for canceling.
I planned this meeting long ago and every year less and less people show interest in participating in this meeting thing i do.
If i see the same pattern i saw this year happening next year, then i just cancel it before it starts. I put time and effort in these meetings(and sometime money) so that we can have a fun day with our fellow players away from that keyboard we love so much.

If you have ideas to make it fun again such as going to specific events, play other games(no bowling) or you know of good places to eat or to have a drink...
