Elections from a newbie perspective

Day 2,507, 19:47 Published in Canada Canada by SevElev

Hello to all from the chilling streets of Winterpeg,

As some of you may know, probably better than me, there is a Presidential/Country Leader election looming on the horizon, and i am going to take this opportunity to note what i've read and seen about each candidate. I do concede that i am currently a member of the CPF, but i will try to be as objective as possible in my assessment.

After reading each candidate's "resume" or "presentation" as i believe it is called, it is clear that each stands at very different points on the issue of war and alliances. From what i've seen in this game, alliances prove to be crucial, and making the wrong choice here may prove costly.

Rylde - the man who wants to watch the world burn. From what i gathered reading his article, it is clear that irregardless of what happens alliance-wise, this man wants to initiate wars as soon as possible. It appears that this is definitely the most risky/eventful choice of the three candidates, and has potential to lead eCanada to foreign relation hell.

Dozzer - the cautious, calculated candidate. Dozzer meticulously put together his presentation outlining exactly what his path is going to be - to secure alliances with the countries who have our backs. The only apparent problem with this is that most of these countries are small and could hurt us if we don't stay in the favour of larger nations such as Serbia, Poland, Chile, or Hungary, to name a few. Alliances however are vital to success in this game and he may be the right man for the job this term.

DMV#? - the Goldilocks of the presidential campaign. DMV wants to find a happy balance between alliances and wars, choosing rather to rely on tightening bonds between eCanada and larger powers rather than the small, reliable countries that have stood by our side in the past. This may or may not be the right move, but only time and voting will tell.

So hopefully my assessment is fair, i am learning plenty about the fine details of this game and i look forward to another month as a member of eCanada, whoever turns out to be our fearless leader. Good luck to all!
