Damn, the New World sure is boring nowadays, huh?

Nothing's happening, nothing's changing. We have some wars, but wars in eRepublik are a dime a dozen, so much so that World Wars occur every year, and sometimes go on at the same time. I don't even know how that works. Besides foreign policy, things are pretty peachy in America right now, with no large threats to us.

Okay, /s.

But really, I don't want to talk about eRepublik for my first article.

I want to talk about a new album that I bought that I highly recommend. This album, Asunder, Sweet, and Other Distress, is by the Montreal-based post-rock/drone band, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, usually shortened to GY!BE. The band is best known in the music community for their stellar first 2 albums, one of which I would consider one of the best albums of the 00's decade, Lift your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven. Their new album comes after the album Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!, which was after a ten year hiatus.

So, how's the actual album? The album has four songs, each about 5-15 minutes in length, and I would call all of them genius. The first song and the last song are the most hard-hitting, with the first song having a rising beat with solos and drones halfway through. My favorite track would have to be the first one, with the last one coming second.

In conclusion, GY!BE's new album is great. You will most likely find it on the internet for free, with the band even putting some of the first track online for free. Listen to it, it's a forty minute performance from the masters of the genre.

However, if drone isn't your thing, you won't like this at all.
