Congress Election: May have suffered a blow to the head and mild concussion.

Now that I have grabbed your attention
When I set up “The Elephant in the Room” its mission statement was to be an independent publication providing news and articles for eUK citizens, even though I had already joined the WRP. At the time it seemed quite easy to achieve i.e. if one political party gets some column space it is fair to say that other parties should also be granted the same privilege if they wish it. However as time goes by I have envisaged this will be quite difficult to maintain in the eyes of the eUK public. Certain aspects will always be easy to provide the air of impartiality but others as I will explain in the main reason for writing this article later on, will throw up possible problems further down the road. For the time being I will do my best to maintain the original ethos of the paper.
What is this main reason?
Yesterday was a bit of an eventful day, I was discussing with a party member about an opportunity that would provide some valuable experience however late in the day I was contacted by another party member asking if I would consider running as a candidate in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections. To be frank I was quite reserved about it and didn’t really think the time was right for me to enter the lion’s den just yet but after a brief conversation and a little bit of thinking I decided I would throw my hat in to the ring and put my name down as a candidate. It of course doesn’t mean I will be elected in to the House of Commons but whatever happens I can only gain from the experience. From my brief time here I have picked up the vibe from people that the best strategy is to throw yourself in head first, see what happens, learn from your mistakes and keep trying. So this is what I plan to do. Of course trying to enter the world of politics will make it hard to keep the paper impartial as I will probably use it as my soapbox but in some ways I am already.
So what can you offer?
Firstly a bucket load of naivety, some would say that is a bad thing but if you don’t know the boundaries then it can spark a new perspective of thinking, basically a fresh set of eyes can see things differently.
(Just standing on my soapbox for this bit) A commitment to work really hard in building a better, stronger and fairer eUK for everyone. This ties in with the WRP ideology of looking to nurture new players, help them find their feet in the game so encouraging them to stay in the game and become part of the world. But also help existing players develop their skills and move through the ranks (I read way too many articles by other people).
Finally I will try my best and try to learn from my mistakes.
Over and out
Once again that is it from me, hope you have enjoyed the article and made you laugh if not at my lame jokes but at the fact that the new kid on the block wants to run for Congress. Please comment, subscribe and etc. As I have given WRP a small mention in the article and its ideology, in the interests of independent journalism if another political party wishes to have a small mention about its ideology in future articles please let me know.

sometimes i think everyone in the world is crazy then i realise that it is my that is insane
eh your alright 😉
A blow to the head?
Seems a bit drastic to get down to the required IQ for congress but whatever floats your boat ...
lol. Good to know that non political people also check out my articles
I see that a new 'economist/keers' is rising.. Already you are showing the experienced up! Hehehehe! V/S btw.
Thanks for the v/s. Excel is the real economist, I just draw conclusions from its stats lol
Hehehehe, I'm referring to The Economist newspaper. Still N.1 in the UK, but the editor has quit. I think that Keers (the editor) tried hard to make his ramblings as independent as possible, like you.
It's is a very difficult to achieve being independent so anyone who tries gets my respect
Great article, good luck in the elections 😀
Thanks and you to. Whatever happens i will have learnt something from it. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
You can get white chocolate lion bars, if you go to the right shops. Highy recommend.
Haven't seen them in the shops i go but did clock them on Google Images while looking for the pic. Also they seem to do a peanut version as well. That's 2 new things I learnt today. Maybe tomorrow I will try to tie my shoelaces.
They do almond snickers too. Go to B&M bargains and get three for a pound!
What a time to be alive
Curse living down south my nearest one is a good trip in a car. When I was up north B&M Bargins 10 a penny
I am experiencing this precise anguish too.
I wish you good Luck. I`ve voted, endorsed and subscribed your projeckt "The Elephant in the room". Just like you, I am a newbie in this game, and I think this is a very fascinating play!! I think I will like me here!!!
I have started a similar project in eNorway; the newspaper "Northern Light". I have already had an interview ("A talk with😊 with our Country-President, and get good feedbacks. I`m also had some "Breaking News" concerning the attack on eBelgium.
"Northern Light (NL)`s aim is:
“To create interesting and readable articles, analyses and comments about what`s happening in eNorway and abroad. Never afraid of asking critical questions with the purpose of creating debates and information! Contains the column "A talk with:"
I`ll be watching your political and editorial carriere and wish you good luck in the opcoming election. Perhaps we could keep in contact, to learn from each other and change some ideas and experiences?
Thank you very much Zinitus and I wish you look in your endeavour. I think we can both learn from each other experiences and look forward to that opportunity. As your own newspaper is in Engliish I have subscribed to your paper and will read your current articles and look forward to future articles.
Thank you. Looking forward to cooperate with you!
