Champinator for Country President

Day 1,896, 21:29 Published in South Africa USA by Champinator

Hello eSouth Africans.

It is not the best of times in eSouth Africa right now. With the threat of a PTO looming over us, tempers are bound to be short. But there is good to come; we have a chance to change, and by change, I refer to electing a new Country President. I am not sure of who else is running right now, but I am sure they will all be great options. However, I believe I can offer something more.

Someone who has been around the block a few times, like me, always refers to his or her experience. It makes sense. My past positions are plentiful and of great quality and importance. I have had the chance to do a wide plethora of jobs. Every single one has taught me something new and allowed me to look at the challenges of leading a country in a different light. Here is a list taken from my forum sig for your convenience:

In eSA:
1x Vice President
1x Chief Minister of State and Executive Officer of the President
1x Minister of Foreign Affairs
3x Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
1x Presidential Adviser
2x PP of the NPSA, 1x PP of the CEP, 1x PP of NU
20x Congressman
1x Emergency Congressman
Former Ambassador to Canada, Spain, South Korea, Venezuela, USA and Japan
Former Economic Council Member
2x Deputy Speaker of Congress
1x Director of Immigration
Former PCO in the PG

In eUSA:
Former PCO in 82/3 Airborne

Just because I've been around for a long time doesn't mean I know what is going on right now. It is true I left eRepublik for a few months. I also was in eUSA for a few months. Altogether, I've been gone from eSA for almost a year until I came back a couple months ago. During that time span of me being in eUSA and just not playing, a lot of things happened. I tried catching up, but a month in eRepublik is almost like a year in real life. So much can happen is a short time span. There are still some things going on around the eGlobe that I don't quite understand yet, but I believe that's not a hindrance to my ability to lead eSouth Africa.

What truly matters is eSouth Africa's affairs. Locally we have a PTO attempt underway. During my glory days, we went through multiple PTOs. However, we always managed to get out of them and come back stronger than before. A couple times we completely lost our government and country. That will not happen under my reign. Already we have gotten a fair amount of PTOers banned for multis. With continued efforts we can get rid of all the multi-ing PTOers. Nevertheless, there will still be some PTOers who either don't get caught using multis or legitimately PTOed us. With better communication and stronger efforts from every citizen of eSouth Africa, we can eliminate the PTOers for good. As I said in my previous article, the blame for this PTO threat right now is on all of us. We need to work together better. As president I can lead this charge. One such way we can make a difference is to take back OOPS. I am certain the PTOers will run in all the parties. However, I know they will only have enough people to take one party. Our votes need to be saved until the last possible second so we can identify where the PTOers are focusing their energy and then strike. In past eras we were able to do so through great communication a la articles, PMs and IRC. IRC is a great tool for ATO efforts, and I would strongly encourage everybody frequent it, especially during elections. I also have some more tricks up my sleeve, but I don't want the PTOers to know them. If you're interested in what else I have planned, please feel free to PM me or catch me on IRC.

Regarding foreign affairs, things are getting pretty messy. I am still having a hard time figuring out what alliances are truly active and who exactly is in what. I do know, however, that we will always support eBrazil and eUSA. Both countries have been close to us for a long time, and both provide us with much assistance. The training wars with Uruguay are fantastic. They don't conflict with our MPPs, and it's great experience. I wish for us to continue with these training wars.

Militarywise, I would like to see the eSAAF become more active. As soon as I came back to eSouth Africa, I applied to be in the eSAAF. Then I applied to be in Assegai. I would like to see both picked up from the dust. A country should have a national military is can back and boast about. Just having MUs is like hiring hitmen to defend your country. We need something to put our name behind. We want other countries to look at our military, and feel fear. Having an actual military is also much more professional looking.

Another issue I think needs to be addressed is the state of our community. Days will go by without an article being published. There's a constant bickering that goes on in every article/forum post. It is constantly pointed out that nothing gets done when we bicker, and it's true. Sometimes bickering is good when it's on topic, but often times it is severely off topic. As a country we need to unite. A split country will not emerge from a PTO. That's just a simple fact.

In conclusion, I hope you all read this platform of mine. I also hope you read the other candidates' platforms as well. There's nothing worse than an uninformed voter. On election day it would be best to save your vote till your last login. I guarantee the PTOers will put forth a candidate. Keep an eye out for emergency voting orders. Hopefully our elections don't come down to that. With the hopes of a fair election, please vote Champinator for Country President. I promise to lead this country out of a PTO and into prosperity.

P.S. Look out for follow up articles that answer frequently asked questions or elaborate on some of my contentions. I also plan on announcing a VP candidate.
