British Imperialism, Australian Liberation, and Congress explained.

Recently two topics seem to have been popping up in the media, these being Expanding our own borders, and a few Australian articles have popped up asking us to think about liberating them.

Imperialism
What is imperialism? for anyone unfamiliar with the term, it is basically the possession of parts of another country by our own. We all know that in RL Britain is the queen of Imperialism.

Now, I am all for Imperialism, I think we definately need to expand. However, I also recognise the importance of building a strong military force before we start thinking about these things, and people also need to realise that a lot of thought has to be put into who we would attack. If we expand, it means someone else is going to shrink, the major issue with imperialism is anticipating other countries response's, we wouldn't want to trigger a war with PEACE, for example.

Lot's of people are pushing for expanding our border's because they want to fight, it is a great way to rank up and gain exp. I think it would be wise to begin organising another training war, and in the mean time people can always buy a moving ticket and fight in a country with an active battle, but it is understandable that people may not want to do this, but I think the new wellness fast scheme is worth a mention here, simply move to a region with a Q5 hospital, fight, and heal, if anybody wants more information or a moving ticket you can PM me.

Australian Liberation
I think this issue is going to begin seaping into our media, this morning I noticed an article pleading for Britains help. (I wouldn't be surprised if a similiar article was published in many countries) I have checked the Aussie newspapers and articles such as the one I saw seem popular.

Currently, Australia only has 3 regions, so liberating seems a nice noble task to have a bash at..
However, it is Indonesia that owns the rest of Australia. Indonesia, a military monolith would be very difficult to get out of any country on our own. This is where complications arise, if we decided to try and liberate Australia with another country helping us, this could easily trigger retaliation from PEACE. This is something that should definately be avoided, so as harsh as it may sound I am against any attempts so liberate Australia, because it is not at all a pragmatic move.

Congress
The top 5 party's have candidates for congress. A Congressmen's job bears great responsibility, they have to vote proposals from the president, and can put forward their own proposals. There can be a maximum of 10 congressmen per region and 40 per country. Here in the e-UK we have very active forums where everything is discussed, I always advise going and having a look.

You have the ability to vote for who you want in congress, I myself am a Candidate. Your opinion is always valid, so you can vote for who you want based on what you think of their presentation/manifesto. The next Congress Elections are in 2 days (e-Republik time is 8 hours behind GMT) and your vote is always appreciated.
