Bread & Circus? #2 (Old Archive)

Day 2,197, 13:57 Published in USA Poland by amoungthefree

I may not have been in eUSA for longer than a year. But it seems clear to me there are some strange fluctuations in supply, demand and pricing.

Exihibit A: During the late stages of the eUS VS ePoland war (Back when Florida was our capital and the president was still fighting.) bread prices remained at a low of 0.06 to 0.08 while this might have been government attempts at price control with the economy as it was then (and at its strange slow recovery now.) I think we should put that under scrutiny.

Exihibit B: After the wars end with a *near* bloodless fight from the treaty allowing us control over most of our land and resources the prices of raw food and weapon materials dropped quite quickly. While at the same time previous bread prices rose from 0.09 to 0.11 this however would likely be expected after such a large war.

Exihibit C: Even after over a month after gaining nearly all our territory (especially since determination) quality 1 basic bread prices have soared up to 0.16 and their only climbing and climbing. While strangely raw material prices keep dropping and were only gaining more strategic resources.

So the question is.

Whats happening to our supply & demand situation?

Is our supply getting smaller? Or is the demand simply rising due to war? Or is there a third reason for this price shift?

My recommendation? Scrutiny my dear boy.
