Black (Friday) Gold

Day 1,102, 10:09 Published in USA Canada by Thedillpickl

Hi kids!

One of the first things I want to p!$$ and moan about is the special offer for Black eRepublik Friday.

The gracious offer, by Admins, to "give" you a months extra storage if you buy some gold is underwhelming. It looks good to NoobS, like get something for nothing. Well I suppose you are, but the extra storage only lasts one month and then it's gone. Unless you "buy" more! And trust me, I know, the gold you bought with RL money will be gone soon enough. Besides, organizations last longer.

I'll fess up. I've bought gold. There, what da ya think of me now? Unless you're very intelligent or extremly patient, you'll have to buy some. The game is set up that way. It's how Admins pay for stuff in RL. I'm not complaining about that. But let's get real. They are selling and we are buying. Simple as that. If you went to see a movie (I miss Dirty Harry. Oops, showing my age.) with someone, It would cost $30 or more. For what? A few hours of entertainment. And possibly other things, but, ahem, that's beside the point. More to that point is, spend the same for gold and (if you're cheap like me) it will make your game play enjoyable for a much longer time than a movie.

Let's knock the mud off so we can go for a ride!

A spade is a spade, so they say. Admins sell a product (eRepublik), we buy it (gold) and that allows them to continue to provide the product (play). In RL, if you sell a crappy product you don't last long. If you sell a superior product at a fair price you prosper. What makes a superior product you "ask"? Let me tell you. It's simple salesmanship. Ask your customers what they want, ask what they want it for and ask how they plan to use it. Ask what will make them satisfied. Ask what will solve their problem. (That's a lot of "ask".) Then provide a solution! And listen, listen, LISTEN! Feedback is imperitive. This will make everyone happy, I promise.

The elephant in the room...OMG!

We the consumer, need to make ourselves heard more loudly and more often. A few brave souls hit the forums quite often. A few just grumble. The rest grin and bear it.

There, I've said my piece, what do you think?

Freebie!

OK, for real.
