Birth of the Irish Army.

Day 1,156, 14:52 Published in Ireland Ireland by Anthony Colby

I am glad to read today the article by our CP CelticTiger announcing the creation of the Irish Army. I agree with the premise that to constantly update and revise something leads to an "Frankenstein" like creation of many different parts that don't always work together, cause confusion and eventually pester their creator for a girlfriend. No wait that last part is the book Frankenstein.

As a long time member of the IDF and former Commander, going all the way back to the Dundalk Fusiliers, it was a little bittersweet to see the old Irish Defense Forces be disbanded. It was necessary though and overdue. Supplying the IDF was an issue that needed solving.

But now under the new IA it seems the supply issue will be solved. Already things are better.

I have already re enlisted in the IA. The Command Staff have asked even if you were in the IDF to re enlist. Fill out the form and make it official.

Long live the Irish Army.
