Barren as a Beach in February

Barren as a Beach in February

So apparently we’re Airstriking Paraguay.

That comes as a huge surprise to me.

But, I’m not really plugged in, so I figured I just missed something. Last time I checked, the only time you Airstrike a tiny nation was because you were fleeing from a bigger nation, or you’re positioning yourself to attack something important.

So I went to my normal source, the James S. Brady Press Room. Turns out, there hasn’t been a WHPR in two weeks, which is an impressive failure, even by the low standards of 2015 eRep.

I figured I’d check the next best source, the President’s Paper. Except I followed the link from the WHPR and it is of course outdated. Naturally.

Then I had to manually search for the President, and find her paper. She hasn’t written anything in one week.
But don’t worry, because she did thank us for voting for her. At least we have that going for us.

So maybe the Vice President has something. If she’s Vice President, she probably has at least a lazy eye on the President’s chair, so maybe she’s taking some initiative and doing some writing.
Nope. But she did take some time to convince us to vote for Beachbunny. That’s nice.

But I remembered seeing something about a Chief of Staff paper. Took me a lot of searching (the link isn’t anywhere) and I ended up having to ask for it on IRC. Here it is. Not a bad idea. At least someone is trying to do something. But there wasn’t anything about an airstrike.

I tried the forums.
I didn’t remember seeing anything in Gen eRep, but that’s par for the course. Nothing happens there except Franklin yelling at Pfeiffer and DMJ.

But I did check out the Executive Branch section. That’s where the usually pretty good Press Briefings get posted. Haven’t posted one in 5 days.

There hasn’t been anything from the Beachbunny Administration.

It’s like a beach in February.

But then I finally found something. Just a little something, but something none the less. Good ole Public Congress and a post about Max Taxes. Turns out it’s about raising the taxes to 12% (or so).
There are numerous references to something going on concurrently in Private Congress.

The conclusions we can draw from this, are that we’re going to either be spending a ton of money, or we’re already broke.

Considering we’re Air Striking a small nation in South America, I’m going to bet on the former. We must need money for something. And probably something big.

There isn’t any actual information out there, due to the crippling ineptitude of our government. When the election was on the line, they had all the time in the world to publish articles; asking for our votes and support.

But now that something is actually happening?
Nothing.

Two weeks since a WHPR?
One week since a Presidential article?
No press briefings for 5 days?
No Vice Presidential article?

This is completely inexcusable, and it’s about as inept as you can be before Congress starts throwing out the ’i word’.

Beachbunny promised Media will and better pump out some great articles or else… (Source)

There hasn’t been any pumping, or trickling, or writing, or anything even resembling governance.

At what point will she hold her cabinet accountable?

And more importantly, at what point will we hold her accountable?

(enjoy that 12% tax rate 🙂 )
