Back to work!

The campaigning is over, finally! I found this election season to be particularly grueling. Partisan sentiment was flying back and forth, more than I have experienced to date. A Campaign made all the more complicated by the unresolved threat of COBRA. Thankfully, it's time to ignore the news and get back to work in Congress!

I know, I know, I don't post enough articles. That may have been the main reason I nearly lost this election. I am very thankful that there were 13 other souls out there that were willing to give me another mandate. (Uh, yeah... Big Surprise I voted for myself)

This past month I have spent my time in Congress fixing law. I spent much of my time wrangling with other members of Congress, with Cabinet, with the President seeing to it that the laws we enact are fair, efficient, economical and respectful of the rights of our citizens. I feel I have done an exemplary job in the last session. It seems to my surprise that President Jacobi and the voters agree, so expect more of the same in this session. That's a promise you can count on!

It may not make me popular, but it makes for better law, and a better country at the end of the day.
