Wow. Has it really been three months since I wrote an article? Well I guess it has and I just would like to explain where I went.

Well I didn't go anywhere really. I just got real busy and eLife just had to take a back seat. I apologize for my disappearance while still in my term as CC. I take my responsibilities very seriously and a RL illness was what caused me to be away. My daughter got sick and while it was nothing serious (but very scary at the time) it kept my mind away from the game. Any parents out there will know what I mean when I say it is very difficult to see your children sick and not be able to do anything about it.

Then the weather didn't cooperate with my work. Spring came (kind of) and messed up my work schedule so that I still am trying to catch up. It has not been easy.

So I have been trying to get more active but it is difficult. Once you get out of the swing of things it is hard to get back in. I am working on it.
