Well a couple of days ago Harrilal wrote and article where he started a contest where people had to write something nice about another Irish Citizen. Well here is my entry.
I am going to write something nice about Viktor Kurgan.
So what can one say about Kurgan. Once upon a time we were in the same MU. I have always said that Kurgan did a great job as Commander of the MU. His people skills needed a little work but the actual work involved in running and supplying the MU he did an awesome job.
But that is not what I am going to talk about.
A while ago Kurgan and I PMed back and forth about RL stuff. I will treat those PMs as what they are, personal messages. I won’t divulge anything we discussed as that is personal. But what I can say is that due to Kurgan telling me about events that happened a few years ago in his life and country that I respect him.
The way I see thing is that respect is not given but earned through actions and thoughts. Whoever said the phrase “Respect your elders” was an old fart no one liked. But from my conversations with Kurgan I know the events and situations he went through were tougher than any that I have ever been through and in all likelihood will ever be though. He did things that I hope I would do. Some may say that maybe he lied and made stuff up. I am a pretty good judge of character and I don’t think so. There was no reason to make stuff up.
For that he has my respect.
Now in game Kurgan and I don’t always get along. He thinks I am an ORC and I think he is a little paranoid. That is just gameplay.
But the RL man behind Kurgan has my respect. That will never change.

I wish RL Kurgan would play this game. He sounds like a decent fella.
rl Kurgan does play this shit....and rl Kurgan has zero tolerance to corruption of mind and soul of humanoids out of rl experiences.
And what i learned...you dont make deals with scum, no reason with, not even talk with them....you end them as you would end an annoying fly.
And then you forget them like you would forget a fly.
Fortunately escum is not rl scum so different methods are required and not so drastic....
As AC said, RL Kurgan does not lie in private messages.
Unfortunately "in-game" Kurgan is a font of lies and propaganda. Whenever you speak in public you completely change face to a foul troll that does not want to play with any integrity.
I hope RL Kurgan slays in-game Kurgan, and we get to see the honorable version of you. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE !

Where you get nerves to talk about honour after what you did with referendum and Conway while you were a CP..
You could have a voting comitee, you could NOT provoke irish patriots with a proven thief and open traitor of IReland as your appointed minister.
But corruption took over your wretched soul in such magnitude you could not control your moral downfall.
Transparency and integrity...that is what we Clerics demand from irish governments.

I've called out all your lies multiple times. Every time, you simply ignore the facts that contradict the false story you want to tell. You live in your own world of spin and propaganda against the people you dislike for no reason. You refuse to think or act rationally, and you are willfully blind to the truths that prove wrong again and again.

And as congresman he prooposed a law highly damaging for Ireland.
And you honoured him with minister position.

I gave you a chance to kick him out even at least to demote him to something less then minister.
But as true orc you rejected coz you valued a fellow orc who stole and betrayed ireland more then ireland iself...

This is why I like Victor, and being "nice" is grossly over-rated IMO......lots of "nice" people are fake and shallow, I prefer people who say it like it is and are not bothered about how people view them.
But that is only coz i am insane sadistic sociopath on a mission of love, tolerance and forgiveness...

Like I said. Gameplay is one thing. We may not see eye to eye but RL is something else. Whether you enjoyed it or not I still respect what you did.

I have had a couple of PMs that make me believe my article may have been a little confusing.
What I mean when I said I didn't think Kurgan made stuff up was the RL stuff.
In game stuff, well that is another matter altogether. 🙂
